Just that. Did anyone see last night's?

Theromanempire · 19/06/2020 17:42

Yes, why? Anything particular about last night's episode?

StickersandStripes · 19/06/2020 17:49

I've watched all of them except last nights, I'll watch that later.

Starshollowwannabe · 19/06/2020 19:28

We watched last nights. The babies tipped out of the prams Sad!

NoWuckingForries · 19/06/2020 21:09

The ambulance crew dealt with the mums in a very sensitive way. Poor babies.

I think the ambulance crew had to as they needed the situation not to escalate and to get the babies away and to safety. I imagine if they went it accusing them of all sorts nothing good would have come of it. I thought the call handler that has the man with the wife in labour needed a bit more training she was very sharp with him and seemed to take the swearing personally, I wouldnt have even mentioned the swearing as it was obviously a heat of the moment thing (and I have been a call handler who has had every swear word you can think of thrown at me)

NoWuckingForries · 19/06/2020 21:51

She did struggle a bit so it was good a colleague could keep calm and take over. She even said "they don't understand, we can help too".

So much compassion and empathy was lovely to see.

This is one of my favourite series. I haven't yet seen last night's. I love how they take care of each other when they've dealt with something particularly traumatic. And I was really hit but the dedication in episode 1 (?) of this series to those paramedics who have died during the pandemic. Sad

Toddlerteaplease · 19/06/2020 22:25

I love this programme. Ambulance Australia is just as good. Was the person who was pronounced dead. The same one who was phoned through as having the asthma attack and panicking. Or was it a different person

NoWuckingForries · 19/06/2020 22:59

It was the same person.

The male paramedic brushing the old ladies hair for her in the ambulance was just lovely! I missed the start with the babies but husband told me about it, how sad/shocking 😔

NoWuckingForries · 19/06/2020 23:11

The hair brushing was so lovely. Such a lovely, kind gesture.

Can someone fill me in? My friend was talking about this today. She came downstairs last night to her biggest boy crying at it, he thought a baby had died?

I saw half of it and saw them dealing with the delivery over the phone so didn't think a baby had died, but now I wonder if it was earlier - and that's what he was upset at.

Liverpool looked lovely. I'm biased, but I do love that city.

NoWuckingForries · 20/06/2020 00:00

A baby was born at home in an emergency situation. You can reassure your friend's ds, the baby was fine. The ambulance arrived shortly after it was born.

My favourite programme! I do love a good medical documentary.
I also love Hospital when it's on

Pud2 · 20/06/2020 09:32

This is a brilliant programme, and very moving. Such compassion. The end of the first episode, when they showed the photos of the paramedic victims of Covid 19, was heart breaking.

Bbq1 · 20/06/2020 10:21

Love this. Peased it's in Liverpool this series as I'm a Scouser born and bred and have lived here all my life. It's very moving and shows just how much the Ambulance service have to contend with and how wonderful they are. Paramedics really are unsung heroes. I love the wide shots of the city centre when it's all lit up at night. Looks beautiful.

AlrightBabby · 20/06/2020 10:37

Oh, I love this, and Inside the Ambulance which is filmed in Wolverhampton, not far from me. Paramedics really do a wonderful job, and to go into situations where they don't know what they're walking into is so brave

Toddlerteaplease · 20/06/2020 22:21

I also love Liverpool. Great to see it on TV. I love all true life medical programmes. Having Hospital filmed on my ward was
Quite an experience.

purpleme12 · 21/06/2020 23:38

There was already a thread on this

It's the music and voiceover at the end that always gets me

I love how they use humour to put the patients at ease

NoWuckingForries · 22/06/2020 01:22

@Toddlerteaplease why was filming interesting?

OP posts:
TokyoSushi · 22/06/2020 21:00

@Toddlerteaplease thank you so so much for alerting me to the existence of Ambulance Australia - I LOVE it!!

Toddlerteaplease · 22/06/2020 21:09

@NoWuckingForries, just how it was made and how they interacted with the patients and families. One of the team was amazing with a child who wouldn't get out of bed. He persuaded him to get up and he never looked back.

NoWuckingForries · 24/06/2020 20:18

That's so nice.

Where will I find Ambulance Australia?

LindowMan · 25/06/2020 19:50

@olivo it's on iPlayer
