Try A Place to Call home.
I discovered it last year and it was my absolute favourite series.
Set in Australia just post war with fabulous female characters. A nurse with a hidden past comes home from war in Europe.
I always swore I didn't like period drama but it changed my mind completely and I've since, very late to the party, watched Downton.

Seasons 1 to 3 available on demand and season 4 starts this week on Drama.

I will definitely watch. I love David Berry.

Elizabeth Blighe gives Violet Crawley a run for her money any day.
I confess I loved it so much I watched seasons 4 and 5 on some dodgy website. Never got to see the final season though.
Besides it merits a re-watch and I've been recording it on the planner for a rainy day.
I have found i prefer comfort viewing like this since lockdown.

When I watch programmes like that I always wish I was in it. I would be right at home in a big stately house
