What else should I try? Don't tend to watch much TV usually, but would be good to get into something new.
Nothing with lots of violence please - I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to violence.

There's quite a bit of distance between Cold Feet and Brassic!

Pretty much the best combination of comedy and drama I've ever seen on TV is Detectorists. It's staggeringly detailed, subtle, humorous - really outstanding.

Something that fits a slot between that and Brassic would be This Country. Much less high octane, but rewarding of attention. Very funny.

Have you seen Last Tango in Halifax? Totally excellent cast, stupendous landscapes.

I'm trying hard to come up with anything else that is not at least partly based on violence. Shetland is great - but lots of killing. You might love Happy Valley, if only ...
