Has anyone seen this? Thoughts? I'm on first chapter and have a black gospel background so lots resonates.

Me. I'm not religious but I loved it. Eagerly awaiting the final season. The story lines became addictive.

I loved the first series but the latest one I couldn't get into - I don't know why. Just didn't grip me the way the earlier ones did.

But yes - I LOVED the earlier episodes.

Yes @SchadenfreudePersonified I started to struggle with later episodes. Think I just need things to be a little less relentlessly heavy atm. It probably wouldn’t work then tho

Love this show. I am fascinated by the "mega church" that generates so much money and is essentially a business. It's a bit like Dallas except that oil has been replaced by God!

I do agree that the latest season has lost its way a bit. Lady Mae has become quite manic and Charity has turned into a pantomime villain!

Have y'all () watched the whole of series 4? What do you think about the mysterious character who appeared in the final scene. Trying to be vague to avoid spoilers!

@SpeckledFrogsLog was the first person pretending to be someone he wasn't? Like he met him somewhere and assumed his identity knowing the family were well off? Roommates perhaps?

I never liked lady Mae she always had a bad nasty attitude as did Charity both were jealous and blamed others mainly Grace on their mistakes.

living that was my thoughts too. He seemed quite sinister though didn’t he? Does anyone know when the next season is due? I hadn’t realised it would be the last season
