Help me remember the name of this TV series please

I'm trying to remember the name of a TV series, here's what I can remember about it.

UK based, possibly Scotland
Made in the last 10-15 years
Only one series
One word title
The name of it is possibly the name of the village where it's set

It's about some occult ritual type goings on in a rural ish village, a bit Wicker Man and I think it had some well known TV actors in

No, it wasn't that one. I've got a feeling it's got the word wood in the title, it's not Torchwood though, or willow or something tree like

I did a search on telly addicts and that came up, but my memory of Requiem wouldn't really be covered by your description.

There was a recent one set in Scotland where a writer(?) went back to Scotland and by accidents found an old abandoned house and it then triggered memories of ... ?

But that was quite recent. With the actor who plays the detective in Shetland.

Thank you @stumbledin but it's older than that. It may not be set in Scotland but it's definitely UK and I'm sure it had ad breaks so must have been itv or c4 I think

I know the programme you mean. I'm trying to remember who was in. I think you are right about 'wood' in the title.

The programme I am thinking of is ' Marchlands'.

Was just about to say Marchlands, Scottish actor Dennis Lawson is in it.

Similar one was Lightfields.

None of these, sorry. Mayday looks the closest but it's not that

Marchlands/Crooked House/The Living and the Dead

but none have wood in it (although all are good!)
