What's your favourite lockdown TV Show?

and has it actually got better from outside a studio?

I have always been a fan of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon but Fallon from home is brilliant, funny, entertaining and real. The Fallon kids are the stars of the show and watching the Roots hanging out jamming online in ever increasing stages of hairiness is very cool. I don't want it to ever go back to being a studio show!

The Ranganation is working quite well in it's 'lockdown' format.

Modern Family, at least one laugh a day!!!

Virgo1958 · 31/05/2020 12:54

TLC's Love after Lockup and 90 day Fiance. All junk reality TV but I can't stop watching them.

StopTouchingYourFaceDave · 31/05/2020 13:56

I do love Modern Family but what I am asking is about shows filming now that have had to adapt.

Springwatch is another favourite of mine and they are doing a great job of adapting. Chris Packham's stepdaughter is doing really well presenting with him.

Agree Chris Packham’s stepdaughter is a star in her own right. I’ve been enjoying Grayson Perry’s Art Club, and I’ve never particularly been a fan before.

I thought that's what you meant, but then began to wonder if I'd got it wrong with the following replies Smile

I wasn't sure if I worded my OP properly either! Knew what I meant but...

I have seen a couple of Greyson's Art Club and loved the chilledness of it. All of these industrious artists among us creating every day of lockdown are amazing to see. I saw one with Harry Hill freeing a dog from a block of wood, never would have guessed that of him in a million years Grin

Modern Family and The Good Doctor, with a dash of Sons Of Anarchy to get through.

LizzieMacQueen · 01/06/2020 09:42

Going to say Ranganation too. Works really well though admittedly I never watched it pre lockdown.

PeterPomegranate · 01/06/2020 09:44

I’ve been enjoying Grayson Perry’s Art Club. Obviously wasn’t a show before lockdown but definitely a ‘lockdown show’ and I think it works early well. Entertaining, sometimes moving, and I feel like I’m learning in a good way.

seekingwaxwings · 01/06/2020 10:01

I am loving Springwatch even more than usual this year - I hope they keep the pared-down format after covid.

Grayson's show is wonderful too.

ValancyRedfern · 01/06/2020 11:31

Not a TV show as its on YouTube, but Let's Go Live with Maddie Moate and Greg Foote is a brilliant lock down science show for children. Given its just the two of them in their spare room it's so slick and well produced. Dd has gone off it for some reason and I'm gutted!

IntermittentParps · 01/06/2020 13:28

Radio not TV, but I'm enjoying Kermode and Mayo's film review show. They can't have their usual box office top 10, so instead each week they have a top 10 sent in by a listener (can be anything: top 10 horrors, Tom Hanks films etc); a 'Director of the Week' spot where Kermode spotlights some of our major directors; and one listener is on a mission to watch a film from every country in the world, so other listeners are sending in their suggestions.
I do love the normal show too, but I'm probably enjoying this format more.

MrsFrTedCrilly · 02/06/2020 01:35

Grayson’s Art Club, gutted it’s finished it was so entertaining and calming
Sewing Bee but I’ve loved that since the first series.
Nearly forgot the joy of painting show on BBC 4 Bob Ross and his happy little trees make me smile Wink

MyBlueMoonbeam · 02/06/2020 01:47

Nothing filmed atm 🙄 so sick of seeing inside people's homes 😏
Have enjoyed binging "The Man in The High Castle" (Rufus Sewell 🔥) on Amazon Prime & now into "The Good Fight" - have watched so many things on Netflix I can't even remember them except the last Season of "Schitts Creek" am going to miss the cast so much 💔

Standrewsschool · 04/06/2020 17:43

Binged watch Mallory Towers (BBC iplayer) in early lockdown and loved it.

Also Shakespeare and Hathaway, all three series (also BBC iplayer).

Can’t really think of any series that I have to watch.
