Is Snowpiercer on Netflix any good?

Anyone watched it? Is it any good?

I'd be interested to hear opinions too. I didn't manage to get past the first 15 minutes, but I'm wondering if I should have persevered.

I saw the film (by the same director who recently won Oscars for Parasite) and quite enjoyed the premise of it. Not tuned into the Netflix series yet.

I started this last night but didn't get past the first 15-minutes. I just don't know whether I can be that interested in something that's set on a train.

The jury's still out. I've watched the first two episodes.

I watched the film on Sunday, so that is fresh in my mind.

At the moment, the film is better, but I've only watched 2 of the series.

I like that they've changed lots to keep it fresh, but missing some of the quirks of the film.

Will 'ride' it out and report back.

Hopping missing that weirdness, but hoping we will get some as it's the same director.

I tried it and lasted about 7 or 8 minutes. It's not the most logic-based thing I've ever seen.

I’m watching because the film was intriguing. Am wondering how they’ll make a tv series out of it, presumably left open for a second series.

I watched the first 2 and will probably continue at least for a while.

The premise is very shaky though and doesn't really bear scrutiny, but if you ignore that it shows promise

I watched the bit up to when they were force boarding the train then it started getting really boring so I gave up.

The film is great, Tilda Swindon channelling Pauline from league of gentlemen is my favourite!

Saw the film and wasn't keen (loved Parasite). Just watched episode 1 of the series and was really surprised, thought it was better than the film with a more interesting twist to keep the plot going.

Is the series set at the same time as the film? Like a remake or is it following the film??

The series is the same premise and there are a few shared details but there is much more of a plot in the series from what I’ve seen so far (2 episodes) and they seem to be developing the characters
I’m looking forward to seeing more but I don’t like binging series as I tend to get fed up so will watch a couple more in a few days

I enjoyed the two episodes and will watch the rest but will wait until they're all out.

There is a fan theory that it's a sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - if you google lots written about it.

The thing is, watching ep 3, being in First Class looks like an absolutely shit, mindnumbing as fuck existence 🤔

Yes first class looks awful. Teenagers having to spend all their time playing shit games with their parents.
How are they not all crazy fat too, eating and drinking all day and not moving. Just like lockdown.

What's the thing with the pills inside their mouths? I either missed it or didn't get it. Are they suicide pills?
