I did a cursory search and can't find any threads about Hollyoaks, so I thought I'd make one . If there's already one please direct me to it!! My partner doesn't like the show and my kids are too small to watch it with me so every time there's a drama I tend to go a bit mad 😅.

Now it's annoying as there are only two a week (because pandemic) - but in fairness I only started watching in like 2014 so the favourites are sometimes new to me.

Aaaaanyway...

Here's a place to discuss Hollyoaks if anyone is interested! I watch first look on E4 so may mention spoilers in case people are watching on C4.

I am currently hating Edward for how he's treating Tony. Feeling very sorry for Kyle, actually more so than Darren. Mitchell can kiss my arse (not that he'd want to) but he's just whiny and Scott can do better. Sami - again very annoying. He just can't seem to keep it in his pants when a pretty face walks by. And for the love of god, why can Sienna never get to be happy. She's a constant slow moving car crash.

Oh and also Jordan. I know he's not a dad but is anyone else hoping Breda would come back from the dead just to sort him out?

I thought I was the only one who hates mitchell. Scott can, and has, done so much better, hes self absorbed and, i agree, whiny.

The breda thing was just odd, she was 3ft 2 and slinging heavy blokes, who are well over 6ft over her shoulder like a sack of paper.

Mercedes and Silva... also odd. Why the hell would he get back with her?

I've been watching from the very first episode.

I don't like what they've done with Silva or Scott. Silva choosing Mercedes again makes zero sense to me after how much he allegedly hated her not too long ago. Unless he's playing the long game to get back at her.

Breda was batshut and I was disappointed that she started ramping things up towards the end. I kind of almost loved that she was a vigilante protecting kids from shitty dads, and the first few people she killed I had zero sympathy for. Like Mac for example. He should have been in that pig farm!!

I'm not really one for soaps, but hollyoaks is pretty outlandish, but covers difficult subjects really well so I've stuck with it through the years.

The whole triplet thing is just odd too. They somehow managed to sell 2 out of 3 babies as a project with no social work involvement at all. Bit far fetched even for hollyoaks

I love like Silva, he should be with someone adorable, like Nancy, they could be all lovely and homely and cute together.

Theres a lot going in at the minute with drugs, random fostering, where are any kids, havent seen a child under 10 in hollyoaks for ages

I don't even know where to start unpacking it all.

Loving watching some of the Hollyoaks favourites as well, bringing back some memories.

I'm the same, in the past whenever people were talking about Hollyoaks I tuned out. I don't like Eastenders or Corrie (don't kill me!). I'm not exactly sure what it is about Hollyoaks but I can get behind it a lot more.

Yeah Silva deserves to be a family man. Hollyoaks seems a lore more fictional though when you see him... no man would ever be that decent . (Joking).

I think it's amazing how newborn babies disappear from the show so regularly and come back as very eloquent toddlers. I want to know their secret 😂.

I don't watch any other soaps at all, hollyoaks is just the right amount of lighthearted though.

I want to know where all these on tap babysitters come from. Plus nobody seems to work full time, unless it's in the hospital where you work in every department from maternity to plastic surgery, or the police who work on homicide, undercover, break ins and every single other type of crime, and always swwm to be at the station

I want to know their secret too, they can put them back to that magical place when they hit the bratty teen years that they all seem to. Apart from Alfie, of course, he was a sweetheart.

Awww Alfie yes and Jade 😢 if they're were a real life couple I'd be so jealous!

Leela only ever seems to work for the fire department when there's a catastrophic fire or disaster. Everybody who has a baby has time to go to parties, work, go for a casual stroll throughout the village and the only childminder I've ever seen is the Nanny for Warren Fox 😂. Or, if another person with kids accepts a request to babysit, they then immediately palm the baby off to a passing acquaintance in the street because they have to go and sort out a life drama.

I always think it's hilarious when somebody confronts another person in a small secluded place and says 'I KNOW YOU KILLED XXX' - like they haven't drawn the connection between the accused being a murderer and them getting killed for finding out and confronting them.

It's so ridiculous end up loving it even more 😂.

I have watched from the first episode its the only soap i still watch. I want to know why mercedes wasnt arrested for running grace over then silva forgave her for it all!

Seeing Silva with Mercedes always makes me think of that book 'why men love bitches'. He needs to sort himself out and stop living in fairy land.

I only just finished today's first look. Now I feel even more sorry for Kyle!!

So two people qui have watched from the beginning. Hat's been the most exciting episode for you? So far for me the Breda story line has been the best.

I love Hollyoaks, I've been watching it since 2003! Its the only soap I always watch.

I'm enjoying the Favourites episodes as it's nice to see previous characters but I wish they'd shown it from the start (1995) instead.

Yeah I don't like the chopping and changing, it's confusing and sometimes I want to see what happens after and they just show another random disaster.

When Edward can to the village and killed that bird in the nest for Cindy I thought that he and Breda might have a serial killer stand off. I still think Edward will become the new blue gloved killer.

@NumbsMet that's how I feel about the Favourites episodes too, would love a follow up with the next episode.

Yay! I was just shout to start a Hollyoaks threads.
I started watching a few months back after a long break (last watched when Patrick was trying to frame Maxine for his inevitable death and Jade & Alfie, I might have to watch the episode where she died, I feel like I need to)
Who's the girl at the end of yesterday's first look?

I have watched from the start (had a break for awhile a couple of years ago). I do wish that they would show some of the really early ones on the favourites episodes or just start showing it from the start.

I was wondering who the girl was! If she's been in Hollyoaks before then it was before I started watching. She seemed angry at Silva, I doubt it's his ex? Maybe sister?

I read in the TV mags who the girl is but are we allowed to post spoilers in here?

I love Hollyoaks, it's so bloody cheesy.

It's a shame as it used to be a good drama back in the day, I think it's been dumbed down a lot. And don't even get me started on how they leap out of bed after supposedly being in a coma for weeks 😂😂😂

Also that breakup yesterday was the saddest one I've seen in Hollyoaks so far.
