Norwegian/English language - 1969 and the Oil Industry expands in Stavanger.

The series is a intricate political drama with strong female leads focussing on a small community. No one is killed or raped for viewer entertainment nor are the actors exploited under the guise of sensitive realisation (soft porn).

Highly recommend

I'm struggling with it a bit. It must be over my head
BlushGrin.

I'm going to persist though. Finding it a refreshing change.

There can be jumps in the narrative that can leave the viewer feeling a bit lost but I suspect I will indulge in a second viewing, such is the gift of lockdown.

I've just finished the last two episodes, really enjoyed it! I got a rough idea of the passage of time by guessing the age of the baby.

Heading over there now. Excellent that it’s not lost.

I enjoyed it. The ending was good (apart from the destruction of the Norwegian rural traditional way of life) but left an opening for series 2. Maybe Anna can get to make the decisions in future.
