Was so fed up with everything I had been watching I thought I would give this a go.

Maybe I have had a humour bypass but I didn't find it funny. Just a few cliched sketches tacked together to make some sort of plot.

Is it worth sticking with? Confused

I watched the first episode and it was on its hands and knees without arms or legs slow, so I don't think so.

It’s odd. I’m giving episode two a chance solely for Domhnall Gleeson. Not hilarious but not sure it’s supposed to be.

stumbledin · 02/05/2020 17:40

I started watching because it was billed as being "comedic" and thought I watch too much stuff that is "gritty" ie horrible violence, usually against women.

It just seems quite juvenile. Nothing wrong if your a 16 year old thinking up something funny to do for some sort of end of year sketch, but a whole tv series??!!

I posted this on the other thread about this -

I’m not finding it much of a comedy but it’s developing more in the 3rd episode so I think I’ll keep watching.

Sorry didn't see the other thread. Blush

In fact there are 2 others!

This one has nearly exactly the same comments! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/telly_addicts/3888942-run-on-sky-one-sky-comedy

And this has none after the first www.mumsnet.com/Talk/telly_addicts/3883091-Run-on-Sky

It’s definitely not gripping people! Grin

They have great chemistry but not much else going on really.

stumbledin · 04/05/2020 13:21

I only started watching because I heard Archie Panjabi would be in it.

And sure enough there she was in episode 3. So now want to watch it for her.

I find the 2 main characters totally unappealing!

I dunno, I am quite enjoying it and intrigued to see what will happen. And I love Merritt Wever, starting from when she was in Nurse Jackie.

MrsEricBana · 04/05/2020 18:31

I can't think of a single good thing about it, and I really wanted to love it. Boo hoo.

stumbledin · 05/05/2020 13:20

Nurse Jackie! Of course - whatever happened to that series?

Well it finished. It's all available on Now TV, if you have that. Won't give away the ending!

Just checked and Nurse Jackie is also on Sky Box sets if that's any good to you?

I am not saying Run is brilliant, not a patch on Nurse Jackie, but it's OK so far, and like I said, always nice to see Merritt.

stumbledin · 05/05/2020 22:55

I'm with VM (too embarrased to say the name out loud because of who owns it) but I think I can pay to download box sets. Might treat myself over the weekend.

I remember quite a lot of strong female characters not just Nurse Jackie herself.
