As a lover of teeny-type dramas and the show Cheer, I gave this a go with DP. We are up to Episode 5 which we finished last night.

Anyone watching it? As usual I feel sorry for the ‘bad’ characters - feel really sorry for Beth! The adults in her life have completely let her down.

Also Coach Collette is no Coach Monica from Cheer !! 🤭

I watched it hope there will be S2.
Plus there will be S2 of Cheer I prefer the cheer documentary over the drama.
Isnt it strange to have adult marines hanging around high school trying to recruit kids straight from high school.
Where the career guidance counsellor?
Is this the norm in USA so strange.

@tinkerpony I thought that, I actually said to DP that it must be such a big safeguarding issue, some kids in that school are only 14ish - how is it safe to have them wandering round, associating socially with them. Are they that desperate for Marine sign ups ?

Beth is very much the ‘Lexi’ from cheer isn't she. Except in Cheer, the adults actually step up and act like adults.

Finished it last night actually enjoyed it a surprising amount. DP did too it was sufficiently dark for him.

Seen that the network in US has canceled it so wondering it Netflix will do a ‘YOU’ and produce it themselves.

I'm curious why the husband backup his wife knowing she murder her lover or was it himself that kill him I think most likely.

@tinkerpony looks like it’s just us haha ! But yes that poor baby, it was basically an inconvenience by the end haha. I never understood why it went to ‘daycare’ in the day and she also needed to hire Addie as a babysitter after school every day ?! So random.

I think coach has played everyone around her very well. Except Beth, who is definitely on to her !

I am on episode 8! Was recommended to me because I was told it had a Euphoria vibe but it's quite slow to get into.
Enjoying it so far- I find Beth so infuriating she is constantly taunting everyone! Addy is sweet but quite dull I really like the Coach even though she is probably one of the most unlikeable characters there are
