Just started so no spoilers.

Did anyone find the blue grading so dark???? I can barely see the characters at points. I've had to put subtitles on to see who's talking.

It's not my telly as every other programme is fine 😬

Enjoying it though and I've always had a crush on Jason Bateman.

It does seem to be filmed very dark and the actors look harsh in it, definitely no flattering lighting..
It's such a great show.

@Cocolapew late to the party and loving it.

Hi, I am new to mumsnet as my baby is only 6 weeks old, so I apologise if this has been asked before but I'm still figuring out how to work this site!

I'm just wondering about the amount babies should sleep during the night. My 6 week old LG feeds really well throughout the day (she was breast fed until this week, when a paediatrician suggest we add formula into her diet to help with weight gain and asked me to express for the other feeds so we get an idea of the amount of milk I'm producing, as we think one boob is producing a considerable amount less than the other and therefore she's getting hungry). Anyway, from about 2 weeks of age, other than the occasional night where she's woken up at about 4am, LG has slept through from about 10pm-6am, so therefore she doesn't feed throughout the night. While I feel I am very lucky to be able to have a very good night's sleep when most new parents are up at every hour of the night, I can't help but worry that I should be waking her up to feed her? Throughout the day and evening her feeds to equate to the recommended amount, so I know she is having enough in a 24 hour period, but should I be spreading these out for longer periods and feeding her through the night?

@Eejay28 you may need to start your own thread about that.

We've just watched episode 8 and we're loving it. I commented to DH about the blue filter making it dark.

Love Ruth. I know you're meant to hate her but she's amazing.

I recommended it to my sister and she whizzed through season one and sent me a message totally spoiling one of the character arcs asking what the fuck I'd made her watch but that she was loving it despite the gloom!

0blio · 19/04/2020 09:10

I'm on season 3 and it's darker than ever, I've had to turn the brightness on my TV right up!

I love it, especially all the strong female characters.

Eejay28 · 19/04/2020 09:16

Sorry I realised what I'd done after I'd posted it then couldn't find how to delete my post! I'm clearly more of a technophobe than I realised! Blush

superram · 19/04/2020 09:20

We’ve watched 3 episodes but finding it very slow and a bit ridiculous. Is it worth sticking with it?

Cocolapew · 19/04/2020 09:45

Give it a few more episodes superram.
I like the fact that the women in it look their age,ie normal Grin

SavageBeauty73 · 19/04/2020 09:48

Sorry @Eejay28 My kids are teenagers and I barely remember the baby years!

@Cocolapew I always loved Laura Linney since The Big C.

@anguauberwaldironfoundersson My mum did that with Line of Duty. I could have killed her!

Laura Linney is outstanding in it, especially season 3.
Everyone are such good actors in it.
I have a Jason Bateman crush too, but he needs to stop dyeing his hair now 😄

SavageBeauty73 · 19/04/2020 10:32

@Cocolapew it's so dark I can't even see Jason's hair colour 😎😂😂

Ozark is the best. Stick with it, it just gets better and better. Just finished Season 3. Fantastic lockdown fodder.

Enjoyed series 1. Not so much series 2. But on 3 now and really enjoying it again. I also have a crush on Jason Bateman. Grin

WaxOnFeckOff · 19/04/2020 19:49

It is very dark, I've really enjoyed the series but i've constantly moaned that I can't see what's going on. Even on bright days, they film inside with no lights - very bizarre.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 20/04/2020 00:23

I love Ozark and agree with a PP the strong female characters stand out - Ruth, Helen, Wendy, Charlotte, even Darlene. Isn't it so refreshing to have a thriller series with women, with actual dimensional personalities and not just "the wives" (a la Breaking Bad), leading the way!

Spacecudet · 21/04/2020 09:07

Started watching last week, still on Season 1. I am loving the female characters, but poor Wendy with that blue filter has got constantly green hair!

anguauberwaldironfoundersson · 21/04/2020 17:49

Jesus Christ that last scene with the priest and the water and the -redacted- i could barely watch.

I think I held my breath for the entire thing!

Wannabangbang · 21/04/2020 19:29

I had to change my picture settings on my tv as some scenes were so dark. It helped alot although scenes still blue tone x

Puddlesplasher · 21/04/2020 21:18

Started and finished season 1 last week and loved it. Just started season 2 tonight.

RandomMess · 21/04/2020 21:22

I saw your title and the first thing I was going to come and tell you is that's it's so bloody dark and that it makes it difficult to follow 😂
