I think Sandy deserved to win on the day. I think they picked the chef with the best recent form. Well done Thomas though.

For me, after John and Greggggg had tasted all 3, it was definitely between Thomas and David, with Thomas the likely winner (yey!) And Sandy, after her main course, was out of the running. Yet you all thought Sandy?!

excellent series - so glad Thomas won and he deserved it for all the good work he did throughout the weeks - his food (except for the meat as I am a vegetarian) looked so delicious I would have been glad to eat it.
peppermintcapsules - your remark was unwarranted and inaccurate. It was not in the spirit of this thread and really quite shameful.

I thought Sandy had just squeaked it until they judged her main, there I thought she had not quite hit the mark.

Thought David, followed by Sandy should have won it - for imagination, creativity and skill.
Felt very flat by the outcome.

So happy Thomas won! I think he's the first contestant and winner where I've thought that I would go straight to his restaurant if he opens one. I want to eat his food which looks delicious.

Although the others definitely were great too.

We called it! But it was a v close competition. I like the idea of his dishes but like Sandy's inventiveness too.

Two militant vegan former friends just fell out with me for watching this and posting about it on Fakebook because of all the 'charred flesh' on the show that disgusted them and did I know where the meat I eat comes from and blah blah blah. I said my page was not a fucking democracy, I don't want to be a vegan, nothing can convince me to be a vegan and it was not up for discussion on my page and then I got rid of them.

we thought he would win but were routing for Sandy. I want to know why she was sent here at 13 & all her family are still in Macau ? I thought boarding school until she made the comment about the lunch she took to school.

Some kids are sent abroad and live with families so maybe she was billeted with a Chinese family?

I thought it sounded really harsh until I was reminded that we have family who did exactly that (boys a couple of years away from military age in a country at war, so it made sense to get them out).

Darn, I missed the fun!

Was happy with a Thomas win. I think they picked the most career-friendly finalist. He had a steady temperament, a clear vision, and generally executed without too many mistakes.

David was too inconsistent and flappy. I liked Sandy as a person but wouldn't want to eat her food.
