Watched the excelled new documentary around Ted Bundy on amazon and then the one about Patty Hearst.
Anything else, there seems to be an awful lot of rubbish on amazon to trawl through!

Watch Benjamin Zand on YouTube: The World's Most Dangerous Cities.

And if you've never seen The Not Dead by Simon Armitage, that's also on YouTube - it has some heartbreaking moments.

shineaflight · 10/04/2020 13:37

Blackfish
Tiger King
Manhunt Unabomber
Making a murderer

WotnoPasta · 10/04/2020 13:45

How to Fix a Drug Scandal looks pretty interesting, might watch it later:

Unorthodox on Netflix, also Caliphate

hardyloveit · 10/04/2020 18:52

Don't fuck with cats
Abducted in plain sight
Along with a few others that have been mentioned

hardyloveit · 10/04/2020 18:53

Oh and three identical strangers - altho that's 1.5 hours documentary

Happyelfjokeday · 10/04/2020 18:56

Cheer on Netflix!

WotnoPasta · 10/04/2020 19:53

I’ve also seen unorthodox (not a documentary though).
Been watching Team Foxcatcher whilst making dinner which I’ve enjoyed, story is very different to the film.

I've just started watching caliphate, only on episode 2 but it's not bad so far .

ritzbiscuits · 12/04/2020 07:05

The Staircase Netflix

GrumpyHoonMain · 12/04/2020 07:08

Pandemic is excellent

oohnicevase · 12/04/2020 07:13

Staircase is brilliant
3 identical strangers
Blackfish ( heartbreaking though)
Anything about ted Bundy is fascinating
Louis Theroux series
All amazing !
I re watched blackfish yesterday and I'd forgotten how awful it is .. I've never really understood how those poor creatures even survive in chlorine pools let alone anything else .. just the worst of humans but still enlightening if you are unaware of it all.

OvaHere · 12/04/2020 13:01

Evil Genius is another good Netflix one.

There's a documentary on Amazon called Tickled. It's not free anymore (2.49 to rent) but in the vein of Evil Genius and Tiger King it's another one that will leave you thinking WTF?

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 12/04/2020 22:31

Tell Me Who I Am
13th
The Keepers

Also the Explained and Dirty Money series are fascinating.

DS started me on Last Chance U which is well worth a watch.

WotnoPasta · 15/04/2020 08:43

Some great ideas there. I just watched the Rachel Dolezal documentary on Netflix which I missed when it came out totally!

The Innocence Project was good - totally eye opening.

MrsHoolie · 11/06/2020 18:42

Last Breath on Netflix

Free Solo (can't remember what this is on now)

The Innocence Project on Netflix

Jazzled · 11/06/2020 18:43

Some excellent suggestions. I've always fancied blackfish but keep forgetting. Might watch it tonight

elkiedee · 05/07/2020 12:31

Do check out Iplayer as they have put up some past BBC documentary series you might have missed, at least for a few months, and they are also showing older series so those are on catch up for a few weeks.

Shopkinsdoll · 17/07/2020 16:12

Watched blackfish last night. I thought it would be a sea life documentary, that’s what put me off before. But it was excellent, really enjoyed it

CucumberFacePot · 17/07/2020 16:19

I second Evil Genius - really good and such a bizarre story.

The Innocent Man on Netflix if you like true crime. Quite disturbing though.

Fyre was also good if you didn't catch it when it came out.

fairydustandpixies · 17/07/2020 16:41

The one about the American gymnasts. Horrific. Can't remember the title though so that's not at all useful!
