Any suggestions for a good series for children, mainly a 9 year old but if s 6 year old can dip in. Free rein was a big hit, my sister recommended Locke and key, they live it but I’ve had to stop them watching it other than in the morning as it was causing worries about going to bed!!

My 9 year old DD loved Malory Towers on BBC iplayer

Avatar: The Last Airbender.

An old but fabulous series. It's animated but don't let that put you off - you should watch it too if you can. Netflix are making a live action remake, but everyone should watch the original first (if you haven't already)

Loved the Mallory towers books, so I’m trying her on that.
Where’s the last air bender? Netflix?

I dont have netflix, but assumed if they were doing a live action series they would probably have the animated version - according to google it is on there.

Otherwise it is available on amazon prime

There are a lot of kids programmes on Netflix and Amazon but not many I would recommend tbh. BBC iplayer is the best place to find good box sets.

My ten year old loved Malory Towers and Free Rein. We’ve also enjoyed Brainpop, Heartland and Anne with an E, all on Netflix. She’s getting into Dr Who at the moment.

Have you watched Hilda? That would be suitable for both, I also enjoy it too.

Another vote for Mallory towers too.

My 6 year old loves Lab Rats but it would appeal to an older child as well quite easily. It’s on Disney XD, I’m not sure about streaming services.

The studio ghibli movies are now on Netflix, all suitable for your older child but maybe Google to check for your younger depending on how sensitive they might be.
