So I've owned the complete boxset for over 10 years and never watched it! I thought quarantine would be the perfect time (although I haven't watched a physical boxset in years and I'm having to change disc every 2-3 episodes shock horror!).

I'm almost through season 1 (started yesterday!). I can't believe there's an episode where word gets out the boss is giving his lady oral sex and it's a big scandal!

Any other fans out there? What's your favourite season? Anyone starting for the first time like me?!

Omfg I am a HUGE Sopranos fan. Love it. In my opinion it's the best series ever.

You'll see as you continue to watch it but they are really great at developing the characters. My fave is Adriana, she is such a good character.

Best episode is in Season 3, it's called Pine Barrens. Bloody hilarious

Ya I have the boxset too , I've watched it on a loop for years . It's the only program I can watch and rewatch and still enjoy . I watched it when it first aired on TV and still think to this day there is no better or finer crafted series

Best series ever. Still holds up today even though it started in 1999. You notice something different every rewatch.

Characterisation is brilliant and even the side characters are fully fleshed out. Breaking Bad acknowledged there would never have been a Walter White without Tony Soprano

My favourite episode is Long Term Parking which has the greatest acting I've even seen. Pine Barrens is also brilliant but for entirely different reasons.

Definitely one of the greatest series ever. I had the biggest crush on Tony

I did the tour when I was in New York couple of years ago and bought DVDs on it , they have more behind the scenes stuff but very thrown together . The commentary on the box sets is well worth the time

I watched it all except for the last 3 or 4 episodes - can’t even remember why not now. Something happened and I just didn’t. Have been leaving it to watch again from the beginning and think now is the time !! Absolutely loved it. Hope o don’t remember too much bit frankly it was so great I’ll enjoy anyway.

I've watched them all, I don't understand it, how can Tony get all the women he does? He's pretty fat and ugly. Makes women look like total idiots imo. I also think they're just a bunch of bully boys. Not for me.

It's all about power, money and charisma. If you keep watching you do understand more about the characters and how they compartmentalise their lives. It's very clever how the writers make potentially awful characters so appealing.

I've watched them all, every episode and every season. He's such a dick imo. Makes women look like dumb money grabbers who will sleep with anyone if the price is right. Sorry but it's so sexist and annoying.

Tony Soprano is probably my favourite character in any movie or TV Show. James Gandolfini played him absolutely perfectly. The only other show that can stand next to it is Mad Men imvho.
