cant see one. Anyone watch it? Wether you believe in religion or not, do you feel touched or moved by it?

Adrian Chiles I must say is very impressive withhis thoughts and reasons, as is -cant remember his name the young Asian guy.

Edwina Currie is....Edwina Currie!! Grin but speaks well about the Jews.

And the blind guy is really impressive, he'll take on any challenge.

Fatima is very patient with everyone isn't she? How old is she? she's been around forever!

The Irish woman (I'm terrible with names!) speaks very honestly too, they all do.
Not a fan of Dom Joly, je supposed to be a comic! But at least he says what he thinks, wether its acceptable or not, and fair enough, he acknowledges that some people ARE religious.

Id love to do a pilgrimage, and visit different places of worship.

I like this programme and didn’t know the 3rd series had started. Good bunch of people (found Brendan Cole annoying in series 2) and interesting hike.

Surly · 04/04/2020 23:16

Ivw watched the first 2 and didnt know they had 3rd series so thank you. I'll get watching

Just watched the first episode. Think there's going to be some friction between the young guy I think he's called Mim and Adrian.

QuiQuaiQuod · 06/04/2020 19:47

Theyre not getting on too badly, a bit of friction sometimes with Dom and Adrian, and surprised Edwina hasn't been testy, she usually is in other things she's been in.

Really liking Fatima. And if blind guy (wish I could remember his name, don't like labelling him!) is looking for a wife, cooeee, hello! I think he's lovely.

Yeah I think Dom will have a hissy fit at some point. Quite liking Edwina.

my fave moment ever was in 1st series. I'm not a fan of Rev Kate whatsaname, but for a person who wears a collar and is a rev, one morning she was grumpy and tired and said she wasn't talking to God that day! She was in a mood with Him.

I thought wow. hope for me then! I'm usually in a bad mood with God.

But watching this programme I do get the spriritual feeling IYKWIM.

Holy week and easter is my fave festival and time of year

The first series was definitely Christianity vs Atheists. I like how they have broadened the show so it includes other religions into the discussion. The last Pilgrimage to Rome was a Christian Pilgrimage. This Pilgrimage was more interfaith. How long do you think it would take to do the Sultans Trail from Vienna to Istanbul?

If they do another series, it would be nice to have Humanists represented again and perhaps a member of the clergy or similar again.

cushioncovers · 12/04/2020 10:10

Really enjoyed the last episode. Thought the Sufism chanting was wonderful

Noworrieshere · 12/04/2020 10:45

I didn't even know this was on. I hope it's on catch up.
I've missed Holy Week services this week, it would be a nice thing to watch on Easter Sunday

cushioncovers · 12/04/2020 11:01

Yes it's on catch up.

Samcro · 12/04/2020 20:25

Love it, nearly finished it. I love Amar, but he would scare me, nothing fazes him.

QuiQuaiQuod · 13/04/2020 19:45

Me too! And they were actually there, but it really moved me just watching it on tv. Very powerful stuff, especially to have touvched Dom Joly!

Amar was brilliant. They all were actually, turned out well. Fatima was really warm with the locals. Enjoyed it. miss it when it finishes.

Yes, hope next time they'll have even more diverse believers/non believers and a clergy. Richard Coles comes to mind.

Been nice to discuss this with you all.

I feel Dom Joly is just completely irritating and disrespectful through the whole thing.
