This series was so much better than I hoped for

Julia Garner's Ruth continues to steal every scene she's in

They may have thieved Laura Linney's plot from Love Actually but it worked so well and the actor playing Ben was so good.

Wyatt and Darlene should have been disgusting but was oddly touching

I 100% believe that Marty and Wendy will ultimately be brought down by Charlotte and Jonah consciously choosing to turn on them.

Shooting Helen was a great moment but one I didn't think made sense. She had the manufactured evidence Marty was a grass in her bag.

This series was far more gripping than #2, I felt that kind of meandered. It reminded me a bit of Breaking Bad tbh. I'm still not convinced about the ending, it seemed a little easy but I liked the slight humour in the understating.

Just finished watching the finale. Absolutely superb. Love the strong female characters - Wendy, Ruth, Helen, Darlene. And thought the actor who played Ben was amazing.

I love Darlene and Wyatt together and Ben broke my heart so much. But the stand out scene was Wendy and Marty arguing in the therapists house , Sue's face when the camera turns to her and the resulting blackmail when Marty asks how much money and Sue says "shit loads" . Omg.

I just finished it too. Waited so long to watch the series and binged non stop.

I saw Ben's death coming - there was no other way. I was even rooting for him to be put out of his misery neatly and quickly, no torture. Poor guy

And i rewatched that ending scene to chuckle a bit at Helen's smug look as they got out of the car to face Navarro just before she was shot. God, that was a shock to be honest.

And of course I knew there was no way the henchman would let her know when he received the call to end her life, like she asked him to do. Like really? You think he's actually loyal to you and will risk his own life to tell you you're next? Right....

I really like Ruth but I agree it started to feel like most of her lines became shouty expletives and 'zingers'.

I actually liked Helen and her cold, hard stare and unpredictable ways at times. I enjoyed her scenes.

I agree with PP about Wendy - Entitled, self righteous, double-standard, manipulative bitch wolf she is.

I wish Jacob was still alive and Darlene scares the shit out of me but I'm beginning to get where she's coming from.

I loved to hate Cade, Ruth's dad but thought he's a very handsome man. He did me a solid favour with the awful Agent Petty.

Also found Del handsome and his death was bitter-sweet.

I started off hating Wyatt but ended up wanting to protect him at all costs. Also felt Three was ignored throughout. So unfair.

Marty annoys me sometimes and he's so wooden, like he functions on autopilot. He comes across cold hearted. I understand him being that way with Wendy but the way he brushes Ruth aside just annoys me and you could see in some scenes Ruth really wished he could give her a hug for once. She needed someone to really care about her and that's what Ben did.

I agree with you on most of your points-In one scene Ruth was screathing off camera and I for a minute thought it was some odd little child about to come into view! Her voice is so annoying in high pitch but I do love her character normally.
Darlene is fast becoming my fave character I think.
Was so sad for Ben, Ben on meds was awesome and it was a shame he was written out(very well acted though)
What was Ruth uncle called? the one who was in a relationship with Agent Petty? I liked him!
Was the picture quality off for others?? I know it is always dark but it just seemed quite bad this series

Yes the blue dark filter quality is so annoying. I kept wishing it would brighten up. Made Wendy especially (don't know why) look awful.

Ben's last moments was gut-wrenching and I give it to Laura Linney there - she acted her heart out.

I had to watch the whole series with subtitles on...I really find some of the Netflix programmes hard to decipher

Just finished season three at the weekend. Thought it was brilliant- still shocked at the ending! Now I'm at a loose end in my evenings. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good series to watch now?

Bloodline Puddlesplasher.... Its excellent and also on Netflix
