Better call Saul

BCS is on Netflix and sounds really good but I’ve never seen breaking bad, can I watch BCS without seeing BB and still ‘get it’?

Not really no.
I mean chronologically most of the story in BCS happens before BB, but there are some bits which show post-BB.
Why don't you want to watch breaking bad first?

It’s not that I don’t want to watch BB, I just don’t think I’ll like it. I don’t usually like stuff focused on drugs or things about people dying. But it’s also on Netflix so I’ll give it a try.

What appeals to you about Better Call Saul?
Have you seen The Good Wife and Suits?

I love better call Saul but I also thought I wouldn't like BB and watched it before better call Saul. I was really glad I did, it's great. Better call Saul is a bit more involved mentally, and you'll follow it better if you know the future story from BB

I think series 1 and 2 could easily stand alone, but you would wonder what some of the storylines are about after that. I'd watch Breaking Bad first.

I have seen suits and loved it. I’ve seen one season of TGW, it was good but it didn’t keep me hooked.

Thanks everyone BB is also on Netflix so I’ll give that a try first.

I agree better to watch Breaking Bad first. So much of Better Call Saul is about how Jimmy becomes Saul, a bit like Walt becoming Heisenberg in Breaking Bad. Also the Gus and Mike relationship. You'd enjoy it far more and it is excellent!

It took me an episode or two to get into it but then I was hooked!
