Stand up to cancer Caroline Quentin

Did any see stand up to cancer last night? Caroline Quentin was on it, she made a chocolate eclair and when Paul Hollywood said it didn't taste of anything she ate one and agreed. She is supposed to be coeliac and is in fact patron of the Coeliac society Did I miss her saying she made it with gluten free flour?

I’m watching it on catch up now. I’m 54 mins in and I’ve not heard her mention coeliac adjustments at all.

No I didn't either but thought I had missed it, how can she be coeliac and eat a cake with wheat in it?

Good question. You’d think if she is coeliac, as patron of the charity she’d go out of her way to make it clear that the cake didn’t contain wheat.

It might be why her rat cake ended up too wet.

Yes however that would be really bad editing as its really important not to eat wheat and they should have kept it in, or is it a case of minimising a gluten intolerance so they just edited it out? Also thought maybe Paul or Prue could have mentioned she was baking with Gf flour as its very different to the consistency you get with normal flour.

They usually mention it and leave it in if there are any dietary adjustments.

So do you think she just baked with normal flour ?

I watched last night and didn't see any mention of her being coeliac, but Coeliac UK tweeted about her appearance - I assume she was using GF flour (for at least the signature and showstopper) but it wasn't said, which is kind of weird

She was over acting throughout the show and a right royal pain in the ass. I had to switch it off she was annoying me so much.

I thought she was way OTT as was the bloke who won. His accent was all over the place.

I don’t know about her medical history but I do know she was intensely irritating.

The bloke who won is from Doncaster but has lived in the US for years, I'd expect his accent to be unusual.

Shallow point but she didn't seem to have had any help with her hair and makeup at all.

Tan from Queer Eye was weirdly smug and over-confident, I felt. I wasn't pleased he won at all, even though I love his usual show.

But, I was was really impressed by Caroline's rat

Joel was lovely wasn't he? But I missed what the reference was to the diving board, where does that fit in?

Shame it was mentioned as I think people don,t know what Coeliacs can and can not eat and it shows wht you can do.

Joel is scared of hieghts and the cake had to depict a fear. Hence Caroline,s Rat, and Tans was fear of Ageing. Cant remember Johanna,s.
