I’m all Coronavirus-ed out. I need easy viewing, not stressful tv. No misery, no peril, no stress tv.

Here are some I enjoy, please add to the list:

Schitt’s Creek
The Good Place
Gilmore Girls
Parks and Recreation
Parenthood

Shakespeare and Hathaway (bbc iplayer)
Mallory Towers (bbc iplayer) - childrens series but pure escapism

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 18/04/2020 18:23

Please Like Me (Amazon Prime). Starts off on a dark note but it's a lovely series

OhioOhioOhio · 20/04/2020 02:37

supercee · 21/04/2020 20:35

Virgin River.

I've just binged watched the first season of This Is Us. Oh my word it's just what I needed. Tugs on the heart strings but after murder prog after murder prog it's a welcome change.

TellMeDinosaurFacts · 21/04/2020 20:44

The Good Place (Netflix)

Pascha · 21/04/2020 20:50

Grace and Frankie on Netflix

Also I've been bingeing Benidorm, I never watched it before, its total trash but I love it.

And Dinnerladies! Completely hilarious and non-stress.

Kraejka · 22/04/2020 08:06

I also watched Virgin River last week and really enjoyed it. It's so gentle. It's not normally the sort of thing I would be interested in but it was just perfect for my mood at the moment.
It reminded me a bit of Bramwell (series about a doctor from about 20 years ago) but set in modern times and in some backwater in America.

woollylizard · 22/04/2020 08:09

New film on Netflix 'love wedding repeat' was good and easy watching.

onedayiwillmissthis · 22/04/2020 08:33

Jane the Virgin

Anthilda · 22/04/2020 08:35

Queen victoria documentary on netflix, very interesting.

FVFrog · 22/04/2020 08:39

Netflix Anne With An E, three series absolutely brilliant! Really sad to finish it but they have now commissioned a fourth series (thank goodness!)

EdwinaMay · 22/04/2020 09:15

The End on Sky was good if black humour.
I like Breeders - dark comedy - Sky
Alma's not normal on BBC 2 - more dark comedy
Frayed on Sky was also darkish humour and quirky.
Some things are also on Netflix so thought I'd mention them.

Ciwirocks · 22/04/2020 09:16

Modern family, loads of series but really funny

Jojobar · 22/04/2020 09:30

I've just discovered the Detectorists on iplayer.

There's something really quite calming about it, a perfect antidote to the current situation.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 22/04/2020 09:56

Netflix
Heartland
The dynasty reboot
Virgin river
Chesapeake shores
Glee

Amazon Prime
This is us- especially the first season. But it is a bit weepy. So
A lot of 00s teen dramas such as One Tree Hill & the OC are on atm

AuntMasha · 23/04/2020 00:26

If you or your teenagers like comic book-style horror short stories, ‘Creepshow’ on Amazon Prime is an entertaining watch.

AuntMasha · 23/04/2020 00:28

Also ‘Bob’s Burgers’ animated fun on ‘Amazon Prime’.

I just noticed on Iplayer - Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps - dp and I first got hooked on this around the time our first baby was born, when there were 4 series which were repeated on BBC 3 quite a lot - the baby is now a teenager so it's a few years ago! It goes downhill a bit after around series 6.

It's about a group of young people in Runcorn - the writer was only in her late teens or early 20s when she started writing it - including a young couple who have just had a baby, and the mistakes and misadventures helped me feel better about things
!

elkiedee · 05/07/2020 12:51

even though I was already a lot older than the characters then - I was in my late 30s and dp in his 40s.
