I love Call the Midwife and dh loves sport (I know, I know) and we are both really enjoying ‘The English Game’.

Yes started last night, only reallyas a local interest in Darwen for me personally but I’ve really enjoyed it, great cast

Yes it’s about Darwen FC playing Old Etonians in the FA Cup, but doesn’t just focus on the football aspect, goes into the social history of the time too, well worth a watch,

I know it's an old thread. I love Downton but I'm just not getting into this. I'm on episode 3. Does it get better so I should persevere?
