I want to watch the entire marvel series from start to finish....

Where do I start? Confused

I have a box set of the avengers assemble which I’m guessing is not the start, but I don’t know what is?

Thanks Grin

It is also accessible by sky box and Xbox.

Probably PlayStation 4 too

Worth a look?

For sure. Thank you Soubriquet.
I have got the app on my tablet so am going to sign up.
Marvel here we come!!

TrashPanda · 24/03/2020 20:26

I've ordered a firestick and I can get it on my ipad and the xbox one plus the desktop so think we'll get good use out of it. I'm on my third film today, watching on my ipad in the background Blush

HesterLee · 25/03/2020 20:50

I got it on the laptop and then connected laptop to TV. Watched Iron Man last night and am about to start The Incredible Hulk.

Soubriquet · 25/03/2020 20:54

So far I have watched all of them apart from

Iron man 3
Any Spider-Man
And Captain Marvel

Been a busy few days Grin

Good work OP!

Spidey is my favourite (as you might guess), and I think Tom Holland is perfect as Peter Parker - very true to the original comics in his terms of his looks/build etc. And similar humour to the comics as well IMO.

TrashPanda · 26/03/2020 15:20

We are watching Coco whilst the baby naps. The firestick I ordered on tuesday said it would be delivered by sunday but actually arrived on wednesday.

AvonBarksdale99 · 26/03/2020 15:26

If watching for the first time I wouldn’t say watch in the order of release at all. The timelines jump around a bit and it would be very cool, in my opinion, to watch them as the internal timeline progresses.

There was no massive overall plan for releases so they weren’t all released in a grand scheme of when to watch, so for anyone else thinking of getting in to it definitely look up what order to watch in, there are several good sites which recommend it.

Soubriquet · 26/03/2020 15:54

To be honest, apart from ones like guardians of the galaxy 1 and 2 (so films that actually have a sequel), I’ve sort of watched them as I fancied.

Takes me a moment to work out what timeline it is in, but once I work it out, I understand what I need to know

What’s your favourite one so far? And least favourite?

sociallydistained · 26/03/2020 15:58

Love this. First thing I watched was Captain Marvel as that's the only Marvel I missed at the Cinema. I totally geeked out. Then I wanted to finish my recent Star Wars binge but going to re-watch all the Marvel's now as it's been a while! I can't wait to see all The Avengers again. Iron Man is my favourite Avenger!

Soubriquet · 26/03/2020 16:07

Oh god I don’t know...

I’ve enjoyed the Thor films.
I quite liked Captain Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy stuff

Not keen on Iron man. I’m not keen on him in general, so the films are more of a backstory for me than actual enjoyment

Oh god...I just noticed you said Iron Man is your favourite Blush

Captain America is my favourite. What a guy. The Winter Soldier has to be one of the best films, it’s basically an actual good standalone film, let alone superhero/Marvel film. Might have to give that another watch tonight!!!

APurpleSquirrel · 26/03/2020 16:12

You can also use a ChromeCast to cast from your phone Disney+ app to the tv.

Captain America is the best Avenger!

Soubriquet · 26/03/2020 16:20

I quite like Black Widow but then I prefer female characters anyway

OP posts:
sociallydistained · 26/03/2020 16:25

Haha I love them all and yes Black Widow and Captain Marvel now too.

PrivateSpidey · 26/03/2020 16:36

Captain America is my favourite. What a guy.

Oh yes! I do love Cap, especially Winter Soldier. And most especially the elevator scene ("Does anybody want to get out?" No, I want to get in!! Grin)

Soubriquet · 26/03/2020 16:39

There are some really funny bits. I loved it in Thor Ragnarok

“Hulk, for once in your life will please NOT smash”
“Big monster!!!”
“Hulk”

“Fine!”

I like watching in order of release. I'm fancying a binge in the Easter 'holidays' now there's nowhere else to go!

VadenuRewetje · 26/03/2020 16:50

don't watch them in universe chronological order as per that graphic - watch them in release order.

the infinity saga list here is a good starting point. some of the more obscure films aren't listed if they aren't part of the main story arc but you can slot them in according to their release dates.

watching in "setting" chronological order just gives you spoilers and it's better to be introduced to each character as the creative process depicted them as each film was released, then the "flashback" films enlighten you a bit more about the character's motivations in a way that would be meaningless if you watch them out of release order.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 26/03/2020 16:52

Iron Man/Tony Stark is such a dickhead. Several of the problems in their universe are directly his fault.

I'm also going to rewatch from start to finish. I couldn't see The Incredible Hulk on Disney+ though?

AvonBarksdale99 · 26/03/2020 17:20

Just blindly watching them in the order they were released is a silly thing to do, there was no overarching plan - Captain Marvel wasn’t planned when they did the first Iron Man.

There are some issues with watching them for the first time in chronological story order though I admit (I was thinking about me watching them again, which is definitely best that way, but will spoil bits for a new viewer)

I like this suggestion, the ‘Pegasus’: (Spoilers)
