When?!

mrsjg · 18/03/2020 21:56

Looking forward to this. Can't sew for toffee but like to watch other people who can.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/03/2020 21:56

O, thank the Lord!

In this atmosphere of misery and madness, it will be a little oasis of sanity-inducing delight!

nd as attatiti has asked - when? When? WHEN?????

june2007 · 18/03/2020 22:02

I kno and I must start using my sewing machine I got for xmas.

ElectricMartha · 18/03/2020 23:37

Never have we needed this more. I saw there was a book coming out in two weeks that is based on this series so I hoped it would air in the next week or so. Brilliant news.

Cocolapew · 18/03/2020 23:39

Oh fantastic.
DD told me to watch some fashion thing on Netflix to fill the Sewing Bee gap, I only managed 2 episodes.

MasterBruceBalloon · 18/03/2020 23:47

On the BBC website it says no upcoming broadcasts so can't be really soon, surely?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/03/2020 13:30

@attatiti and @SchadenfreudePersonified - I'm afraid the Beeb didn't say when - just 'coming soon'. They didn't define soon.

@Cocolapew - was it Project Runway? I've watched that in the past and enjoyed it - it would be great if it was on Netflix. If it wasn't PR, and you can find previous series anywhere, I'd recommend it. It is more high fashion based than the sewing bee, but still entertaining.

No it was Next In Fashion with Alexa Chung.

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/03/2020 17:38

Hopefully it'll be within the next couple of weeks. I hope there's more of a focus on fashion than there was last series.

THANK YOU BBC! Just what we need.

Sad

No it was Next In Fashion with Alexa Chung.

I enjoyed that series.

Took a bit of getting into, but once the competition hotted up, it was very engaging.

LIZS · 20/03/2020 16:10

In the current situation I suspect sooner rather than later for a bit of light relief. Maybe Mid April ish?

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/03/2020 16:17

Looking forward to it - much needed light relief and inspiration.

TankGirl97 · 20/03/2020 16:17

Cannot wait for this to start. The Pottery Throwdown was great this year, but Sewing Bee is even better - and will inspire me to get using my sewing machine again!

viques · 20/03/2020 16:26

Good news. I wonder who the presenter will be, was not enamoured of Joe thingy, he looked bored and clearly wasn't very interested in what the contestants were doing. I think Mel G would be good, or Lisa Tarbuck, who needs to be in more stuff.

Guacamole · 20/03/2020 16:27

That is the first nice news I’ve had today. Love the sewing bee. That’s cheered me right up.

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/03/2020 16:31

Joe Lycett is hosting again(or Hugo Boss as he is now known). I like him.

LuluJakey1 · 20/03/2020 16:33

Oh I love it! They might put them all on iplayer as box sets!

BarkandCheese · 20/03/2020 16:35

Very happy about this. Sewing Bee actually inspired me to buy a sewing machine a couple of years ago and while I’m not exactly up to competition standard 😂 I do really enjoy sewing.

viques · 20/03/2020 16:42

Joe Lycett is hosting

Oh dear. Never mind, it's a National Emergency, I'll suck it up buttercup.

sunnyday1976 · 20/03/2020 16:46

@TankGirl97 I agree. I've loved Pottery Throwdown this year, and was feeling sad it wasn't on this week, then saw the advert for Sewing Bee and it made me smile!
