So I had a look and I couldn't find a thread for this series (apologies if there is one already and if someone could link me!) so I thought I'd start one.

Who is looking forward to the new series starting tonight at 8bells on BBC2??

@GrouchyKiwi totally agree!

jay55 · 14/05/2020 20:39

I do appreciate that Ruth has made a proper effort with the brief in every round.

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:39

Nope. How dare you trick me with an apple but actually have revolting banana.

PotterHead1985 · 14/05/2020 20:41

I'm glad she changed that dish cos everyone hated it

She has, jay. I think she's done best for brief connection.

alice Joe gives Oliver a run for his money.

jay55 · 14/05/2020 20:44

Oh dear

qate · 14/05/2020 20:44

Agreed Jay, a lot have been restaurant dishes shoehorned in (barely). Georgia made a good effort as well but went out really quickly.

PotterHead1985 · 14/05/2020 20:44

Aand they don't like it again

Boo! Was hoping she'd do better as she was unlucky with a couple of her other dishes.

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:45

I thought Ruth should have had the fish dish. It was more interesting than Niall's.

qate · 14/05/2020 20:45

Hoping for Alex or Kerth to get this course - love the edible book idea, but would be nice to see Kerth at the banquet.

qate · 14/05/2020 20:47

Love Tom Grin

PotterHead1985 · 14/05/2020 20:49

I think that book has won it

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:50

I want Kerth or Roberta to win it. The edible book is cool, but I want to share the courses around.

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:53

These last 4 dishes must be so close.

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:56

Ah. Alas. I mean, it looks amazing, but I was so enchanted by Kerth's.

PotterHead1985 · 14/05/2020 20:56

Alex got two

I'm ending the series as underwhelmed as the first episode. Had so much excitement for this one. Bah humbug.

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:58

That feels a little bit like justice.

FliesandPies · 14/05/2020 20:58

Alex is very likeable, could be a future Chef-judge

qate · 14/05/2020 20:58

Yay!!!!!! So excited for those two!!

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2020 20:59

Oh yes Flies, that's a good thought. He'd be a good judge.

PotterHead1985 · 14/05/2020 21:00

Until tomorrow so

The way they chose who did the amuse bouche and pre-dessert was so obviously so it wasn’t just white males cooking at the banquet.

PotterHead1985 · 15/05/2020 19:58

Agree. Evening all. I wonder are the amuse and pre dessert considered for the overall or just the 4 courses
