I’m feeling a bit crap and want an easy couple of hours watching TV.

These are some things I’ve enjoyed

Greys Anatomy (all time favourite)
Homeland
Gilmore Girls
Heroes
Game of Thrones
True Blood
Crazy Ex Girlfriend
Friends
Big Bang Theory
You
The Stranger
Doctor Foster
The Split

Bit of a variety 😬

Sex Education is great.

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 11:46

I also like Orange is the New Black. I’ve liked a lot of the Netflix originals actually and I did like Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries too.

I liked Suits but stopped watching it. Same with How To Get Away With Murder. So can’t have enjoyed them enough!

Oh I started watching Sex Education and then not sure what happened. I think I enjoyed it. I might try it again.

It's funny AND touching, I really rate it, plus Gillian Anderson is a goddess. Have you tried The Witcher?

FlamingoAndJohn · 15/03/2020 11:51

Every time what you watch on Netfix comes up I recommend Kim’s Convenience.
It’s about a Korean Canadian family who run a corner shop. It’s lovely and very very funny.

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 11:51

No but the Witcher seems right up my street tbh

Look under Chat, there’s another thread called Comforting tv shows.

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 11:52

Oh thanks I’ll have a look

I watched Ricky Gervais Humanity last week and I'm still chuckling about the funeral Grin

M0nstermunch · 15/03/2020 11:55

I'm just reaching schitts creek on Netflix, that's really funny.

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 11:55

Is that the Ricky Gervais series about death?

I had a quick look at the other thread. Not exactly what I’m after. I don’t mind hospital based dramas / horror etc actually but would probably avoid series about new mothers and young children (I lost a baby and I think that’s what’s mostly on my mind but it could be poor diet / lack of sleep making me feel so down right now)

Oh I LOVE Schitt’s Creek!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Good Place, Grace and Frankie all ok but don’t feel compelled to watch them

Sorry for your loss. I always recommend the American version of the office. It still makes me lol after so many times watching it.

al2616 · 15/03/2020 12:01

Safe. Its along the same lines as The Stranger.

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 12:06

Thank you

I haven’t seen American version of the office

Loved Safe too. Any sort of thriller like that I love. I generally watch American TV but recently watched some more British dramas like Doctor Foster, Safe, The Stranger, The Split and Liar so I’d probably enjoy anything along those lines.

I’ve got Unbelievable on my list and also Locke and Key but that looks like a kids’ show 🤷🏻‍♀️

You know when you need to be in the mood to watch something... I just need something that grabs me

HowDoesTheCow · 15/03/2020 12:10

No After Life is the death one. Humanity is a stand up show.

Juanmorebeer · 15/03/2020 12:11

Catastrophe. So good

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 12:13

I’ve seen Catastrophe - it was good 😃

Locke and key is excellent, dont let the trailer put you off. I loved Ozark and mindhunter.

CaraCrisp · 15/03/2020 12:42

Sounds like our viewing preferences are very similar! Greys Anatomy also an all time fav.

I LOVE lock and key, at first I thought it was a kids thing too but go so into it. Really good story.
Also loved unbelievable and I have recommended Good Girls to so many people.
Also really loved:
Criminal, 3 episodes from UK.
Riverdale
Sabrina (new version)
I know it's old but did you watch Happy Valley? It's on Netflix atm.

BunnytheBee · 15/03/2020 13:05

Ok so will give Locke & Key a go

Just put on Unbelievable and it seems good

I used to watch Riverdale. Another one I stopped but would consider picking it up again.

Sabrina is on my list.

Haven’t heard of Happy Valley - will look it up!

Still waiting for Greys to come back 😬

The Witcher is better than Locke & key (I still liked Locke & key though) but do pay attention with The Witcher as it flits around a bit between the past and present and I found myself wondering wtf a few times. Well worth it though.

Ohffs66 · 15/03/2020 13:29

I quite enjoyed Virgin River, it's very gentle. If you have BBC iPlayer I randomly came across What Remains yesterday and watched all 4 episodes in one go, I thought it was really good. Also Keeping Faith and Hinterland I really enjoyed.

Juanmorebeer · 15/03/2020 13:34

If you liked Catastrophe try The Let Down on Netflix. Aussie parenting comedy.

Also good girls is really funny too. Or dead to me.
