It could be a bit like Endeavor.
Doctors: The Early Years.

Red Grin

DD2 is not happy. DD1's school have closed from now, except to years 7 and 11.

Just back from the opticians. I am disappointed that they didn't have the purple glasses, and are not able to order them in at the moment (understandable), so dd2 gor her way and got a very nice blck pair instead.

I no longer seem to be able to type.

Well the education secretary is due to talk in 20 minutes, I expect all schools will shut on Friday for an extended Easter break

Raahh · 18/03/2020 17:22

So, all school closed from Friday.

They had better not annoy me at 1.45pm, that is all I ask.

Redshoeblueshoe · 18/03/2020 17:24

Wow shut indefinitely

TDogsInHats · 18/03/2020 17:49

It's going to be better once the weather warms up, as long as you have a garden of course.

I feel so sad about it all. But there's absolutely nothing anyone can do but crack on and hope not to be too anxious.

blamethecat · 18/03/2020 20:12

What a shame about the purple glasses !
I've no idea how things will go with the school closures, the 'until further notice' is worrying. After Easter would be fine but much beyond will be tricky.

Raahh · 18/03/2020 20:59

blame I was a bit sad about the purple ones, I love her in bright ones whilst she is young enough to wear them and not care Grin (and people always comment on them)- but the new ones suit her. I could have taken the prescription somewhere else (I do with dd1, as they don't have a huge choice for her), but I really like the place we go, and wanted to get the frames from them if I could.

The optician is a lovely bloke, really good with dc, dd2 thinks he is hilarious.

NutButterNutter · 18/03/2020 22:27

Hello Doctors People! I've been watching but have to shut the kids up with both the laptop and phone. We're in 14 day self-isolation as one of the kids has a fever. Zzzzzzzzzzz

Hannie123 · 19/03/2020 09:50

Hi ladies, dh is a special needs teacher and in SLT, so things have been very stressful in our household! He said on Tuesday, schools will close on Friday but I didn’t think it actually would, it all feels very surreal. He will still be teaching, to look after key worker students and those with child protection cases. He gets some insights early on, so if I have any useful information for you, I will pass it on Smile

We were supposed to pick up our keys for our new house tomorrow, but we are trying to decide whether we should postpone moving, which I’m feeling bit down about as I’ve been waiting to move since little bubba was born! Speaking on bubba, he is sitting by himself and starting to crawl! I know you didn’t ask for an update haha but I thought I’d share as it’s been quite a tough time for me lately, been dealing with a lot of other things and honestly I feel quite down and alone (expect when hubby is home, he has been amazing). Hope you are all well. I hope they do a rerun of doctors so I can see the episodes I never watched! 😬

ExpletiveDelighted · 19/03/2020 10:44

Hannie - thank you, I am grateful to your DH and his colleagues. My son goes to a special school and we have to decide whether to let him go in next week. His gcses have just been cancelled Sad

Hannie123 · 19/03/2020 11:49

@ExpletiveDelighted thank you l!
I’m so sorry for your son, absolutely gutted for all those pupils who have worked so hard. I’m on mat leave but have had emails from very sad and worried pupils, I really feel for them all 😞 difficult times for us all, hope your son is doing okay x

FuzzyPuffling · 19/03/2020 13:46

Hannie Respect to you and your DH...and your sitting, crawling baby too!

Afternoon everyone!

Hope you are all holding up.

Let's see what joys today's episode throws up.

FuzzyPuffling · 19/03/2020 13:47

Please solve the JimmiRiddle soon and let him out. If docTors goes into lockdown leaving Jimmi in the clink I may implode.

I've missed Tues and Wed. What happened to Al? Did Harvey get him?

Raahh · 19/03/2020 13:47

Locum cover? Since when have they bothered with that??

Raahh · 19/03/2020 13:48

Expletive he did.

FuzzyPuffling · 19/03/2020 13:48

Just walk out Al. Never stopped any if you before.

Fuzzy that would be the cruelest of cliffhangers!

ExpletiveDelighted · 19/03/2020 13:49

It's not as if there are loads of patients

Raahh · 19/03/2020 13:49

Fuzzy exactly. They run this place on no staff! Grin

He was running a pub for months.

ExpletiveDelighted · 19/03/2020 13:50

Actually with all the e and phone consults now the empty Doctors waiting room is in danger of being realistic.
