Green pepper or red tomato's

Used to be £5 budget but now £10

Love seeing the meals they make

Not sure if Ryan will annoy me tho

Didn't know it was coming back but will give this a go! Who is hosting?

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2020 10:50

Ryan with the glowing teeth

I used to love this! I’ll be watching.

I remember Jim McDonald whipping a lobster out of his bag as his only ingredient so he did.

WellTidy · 02/03/2020 11:42

DS is going to love watching this when he comes home from school. This takes me back to uni days back when Fern used to host. A friend of mine was on it. Said Ainsley was very, very energetic.

Caramel78 · 02/03/2020 11:46

Hopefully Rylan won’t make it too cheesy. It was my favourite program when I was young

RickOShay · 02/03/2020 11:55

Bring back Ainsley that’s what I say Grin
He’s great

PineappleDanish · 02/03/2020 11:59

Ah happy memories of student days in the 90s watching it with Fern.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2020 12:29

It was such a fun but also kinda educational meal. Esp for students

Finished 10yrs ago

Yet I still rem it so well

I was going to watch it until I saw that Rylan was presenting it. He ruined the new supermarket sweep and I feel like he will ruin this. He made supermarket sweep all about him, he spent most episodes taking the mick out of the contestants or the security guard. I wasn't a huge fan of Dale Winston but he did a much better job at presenting.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2020 18:35

I saw. Liked some of the dishes

Chefs seemed nice tho didn’t know them

I saw it and liked it but I do like rylan. At least they just get on with it, no messing about and swearing

PineappleDanish · 02/03/2020 19:32

I liked it too. 11 year old DS watched it with me and he loved it!

Caramel78 · 02/03/2020 22:15

I really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one.

Starksforthewin · 03/03/2020 19:33

Well it’s official, another show that Rylan has ruined.

Just SHUT UP! We don’t need second by second commentary, the chefs don’t need to be bombarded with questions constantly, especially when they’ve just said what they are doing! Agghhh!

Chef “ I’m charring the pak Choi as it gives a great flavour”

Rylan “ What are you doing? Charring the pak Choi? Does that give a good flavour?”

We can see/hear what is happening through the magic of television, we don’t need you building your bloody part!

It’s such a simple show, just let it breathe... Beeb should have appointed someone who doesn’t need to be centre of attention all the damn time!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2020 08:29

He does seem to chat a lot

OP posts:
Caramel78 · 04/03/2020 08:48

He’s probably told to keep the conversations flowing constantly by the producers because otherwise the chefs would just be quietly getting on with what they need to do. I definitely preferred the original ones with Fern and Ainsley but still quite enjoying these new ones too

Wafflehouse · 04/03/2020 16:18

I used to love watching this whilst my poor mum was in the kitchen making tea, now it’s back in the same time slot I’m stuck out making tea whilst it’s on. Thank goodness for iPlayer.

I like Rylan, yeah he’s a bit self obsessed but he knows it and it’s part of his act. He’s done alright for himself especially given the abuse he got for all that crying on xfactor, he really wasn’t very well liked the whole time he was on it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2020 20:16

I do like the 3 ingredients in 10mins at end
