Looking for a feel-good series to watch!

I loved Friends, The Durrells, The Good Place, Virgin River and Chesapeake Shores, and need something else to watch! It needs to be on Netflix, iPlayer or dvd (ideally not on dvd). I don’t want to watch anything scary or stressful at the moment! I tried How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Recreation, and a few random things on Netflix and didn’t like them. (Also watched The Big Bang Theory for a bit and got tired of it.) I’d be super grateful for any suggestions!

Just to add, I’ve not tried When Calls the Heart as not a fan of Lori Loughlin.

How about Grace and frankie? It’s on Netflix. Also ‘Mum’ on iplayer, ‘not going out’.
Good witch on Netflix, Friday night dinner. I’ll have a think of some more!

Gilmore girls
Grace and Frankie
Jane the Virgin
Crazy ex girlfriend

MrsW85 · 01/03/2020 10:57

Definitely grace and frankie. It's short episodes so easy to dip in and out of. We loved suits too.

Life in pieces (prime)

30not13 · 01/03/2020 10:58

Anne with an E

Does Grace and Frankie get less stressy? I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes and it was people shouting at each other, very upset and angry. I didn’t enjoy watching it, but don’t know if it changes as it goes on?

Friday Night Lights on Amazon Prime, I just finished it last night and feel bereft 😭 best series I’ve ever watched

Special on netflix

It’s fairly short but a lovely series.

AlexaShutUp · 01/03/2020 11:06

How about Modern Family? The first seven series are on Prime, but I presume you could get a DVD.

Mooserp · 01/03/2020 11:12

Sex education?

Not sure if it would count as stressy (teenage angst). But it is funny and heartwarming

teaandcake246 · 01/03/2020 11:20

Thanks so much for the suggestions, everyone!
