Liar - can anyone summarise?

Have seen ads for the new series and I'm really looking forward to it. But I can't quite remember what happened in the first series and I don't have time to watch it all again. I went to Wikipedia and it doesn't have a breakdown of each episode.

Series one is available on catchup more 4. I watched all back to back yesterday.

Hospital consultant, widower, takes teacher out on a date and slips date rape drug in her wine and rapes her. She goes to police. CPS throw it out. He thinks he's got away with it. Teacher investigates his past and finds dodgy stuff around death of wife. Consultant/rapist guy is found dead in the water.

He rapes policewoman! I re watched it but fell asleep during the last one so will re watch. When is series 2?

He drugged the policewoman and attacked her as well. It starts 2nd March
