Shakespeare & Hathaway - what age?

I'm trying to find things to watch with DS10 - I am bored to death with You've Been Framed repeats, and old Top Gear on Dave, which are his favourite grown up programs.

I thought that Shakespeare and Hathaway might be a worth trying, and there are several series to work through to keep us occupied for a while, but is 10 too young?

I think maybe slightly too young, but it will depend on the 10 year old. I have a 10 year old DS too and we've really enjoyed old comedy series together. Things like the Vicar of Dibley and the Simpsons - he thinks they're hilarious!

I would. Theres some episodes without deaths I watch with my DD who is nearly 6.

Also try Ghosts on BBC iPlayer. And the goes wrong show.

We watched all the Goes Wrong shows, which he enjoyed, and I was wondering about Ghosts, but there are small elements I'm not sure about - for example, I know he will ask questions about the Tory MP character's manner of death! He's at a stage now where he is less accepting of loose explanations.

Vicar of Dibley is a good call! I think I could re-watch those, and I think he'd like them.

I'll test an S & H myself and see how it goes. It's hard to judge sometimes about DS' sensitivity level: a few months ago, we watched an old Matt Smith Dr Who, and he really cried when the baddy alien got squished, but he also have an ongoing disagreement about the level of shooting in computer games he thinks he could play.

The Tory mp just comes over as a sleaze and his death is not really covered. Vicar of dibley is a good choice.

Come to think of it the horrible histories team did a good series on sky that my nephew liked. Yonderland I think it was called.

What about some only fools and horses?
