I’m currently watching Happy Valley and quite enjoying it

Screamqueenz · 16/02/2020 21:46

Have you watched "you" 2 series available.

cowboy · 16/02/2020 21:49

The messiah. It's awesome

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/02/2020 21:56

Ooh I've watch the first series of You! Series 2 is on the list!

The Stranger

Kinraddie · 16/02/2020 23:15

The Spy - based on the true story of an Israeli spy infiltrating Syria in the 1960s. Sacha Baron-Cohen plays it straight in the lead role and it's gripping and moving.

FoxRedBitch · 16/02/2020 23:18

Locke and key is good

RAOK · 16/02/2020 23:18

Sex Education? The Split is good on iPlayer.

RAOK · 16/02/2020 23:19

Unbelievable on Netflix is also compelling.

Ulvie · 16/02/2020 23:25

I’ve just finished the Rain. Really liked it but came out about 18 months ago, so you may have seen it.

Would 2nd Happy Valley too.

MorningNinja · 16/02/2020 23:29

The Arron Hernandez documentary.

I third Happy Valley. Its gripping.

Sparrowlegs248 · 17/02/2020 03:51

I hadn't heard of Had my Valley, I like the sound of that and The rain. Also anything based on a true story

I've just finished "Unbelievable" that was a good watch, possibly triggering to some though

AutumnRose1 · 17/02/2020 04:35

Happy Valley is brilliant. Sarah Lancashire is extraordinary.

Next suggestions
haunting of hilll house
Whitechapel

NoSharon · 17/02/2020 05:00

Can you give a summary of what the series are about please? For me?

Just whether they're drama, thriller etc. and the gist of what they're about. No spoilers of course.

I'm also looking to see what to watch next!

NoSharon · 17/02/2020 05:02

There's one I watched recently OP but I can't remember the name of the series. It's basically like Criminal Minds, but it's about the very early days of the BAU. If you liked Criminal Minds, you'll like it.

sashh · 17/02/2020 05:03

Not fiction but '60 days in' has me glued.

The sheriff knows there is corruption in 'his' jail so has recruited ordinary people to go into the prison as first time prisoners. The production team has the cover story of filming prison first timers. As in the title they are in the jail for 60 days.

The people range from a stay at home mum to an ex marine and includes Maryum Ali, daughter of Mohammed who is a social worker.

NoSharon · 17/02/2020 05:04

It's not as violent and graphic as Criminal Minds, but it's centred around the same department of the FBI. Hopefully someone on the thread can think of the name of it if that might interest you. Think there's only 2 series of it though.

NoSharon · 17/02/2020 05:05

sashh that sounds good - will check it out now!! Thanks!

threesenoughthanks · 17/02/2020 09:20

NoSharon are you thinking of Mindhunter? I agree that's really good.

EnidBlyton · 17/02/2020 09:21

I loved Flowers, watched series 1 twice now.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 17/02/2020 09:21

I'm quite enjoying Locke and Key. It's a bit formulaic, but it's fun.

EnidBlyton · 17/02/2020 09:24

I liked After Life

NoSharon · 17/02/2020 09:29

Yes! Mindhunter! Good. Worth a watch anyway to see if you like it.
