It also had Cats which MB was never in.
There was references this week to different venues . Jason Manfords musical theatre album is called different stages.

itswinetime · 10/02/2020 17:22

And with comedy and is stage shows Jason is always travelling with his shows like at the moment curtains is touring

Cats I think is for 8 out of 10 cats which he used to be on

Phantom it's weak but this is what I get when you google manford and phantom

hairspray I have nothing for I can't find a link at the moment I'm thinking it was just a generic west end musical type clue. But he does host the Olivier awards so I guess that could cover loads of shows.

You run into more problems trying to fit Michael Ball or at least i did

Can't find links to Cats, Billy Connolly and others.

JM has been in Cutting It which was about a couple who ran a hairdresser's and he's in Scarborough in which his girlfriend is a hairdresser.

Bettyhatesavocados · 10/02/2020 17:37

I think Octopus sounds like Lesley Garrett.. Don't know any of the clues but I think Hedgehog could be Michael Ball...

BelfortGabbz · 10/02/2020 18:13

I think Alexander Armstrong's still body language matches Hedgehog's. Voice too.
Octopus is Lesley Garrett.
Queen Bee is Nicola Roberts.

Chipstick10 · 10/02/2020 18:56

I think the body language and the walk screams Jason Manford

bruffin · 10/02/2020 19:18

Me too Chipstick

itswinetime · 10/02/2020 19:25

Me 3 😂

Piggywaspushed · 10/02/2020 19:35

Me 4 probably but I still want to know what all the Bow and Ball clues are about....

itswinetime · 10/02/2020 19:40

The string to the bow clue I think is just to say he can do lots of things...double bonus it makes people think of Alfie Bow. The ball clues I think can only be designed to throw us off. I know they have sung together but I don't think that warrants all the ball clues.

Piggywaspushed · 10/02/2020 19:58

Hmmm.... yes. But no other clues for any revealed singer have been red herrings. It's bugging me. A Lot.

itswinetime · 10/02/2020 20:33

True but the further we go in the less clues there are explaining...i may have missed it but did they ever cover monsters love of books?

Piggywaspushed · 10/02/2020 21:06

No.

But if it's not Michael Ball, they had better explain the cricket ball with Michael written on it!!

itswinetime · 10/02/2020 21:16

Was that when he had the photo of Billy Connolly and was talking about people he admires and looks up to? I think that will be the he sang with Micheal ball clue, and probably looks up to him as as singer/performer.

It's all the times he has said having a ball ect that I think won't be explained and was probably just to confuse us.

Piggywaspushed · 10/02/2020 21:17

Yeah, maybe!

bruffin · 10/02/2020 21:45

Jm toured with Alfie Boe and was in Sweeney Todd with Michael Ball he also was on their Christmas special.

8misskitty8 · 10/02/2020 22:10

I’ve got most correct so far.

Final guesses for me are :-
Queen bee - nicola Roberts
Octopus - Katherine Jenkins.
Hedgehog - Jason manford (kept swithering between him and rhydian but have now settled on JM)

Pootle40 · 10/02/2020 22:20

Queen bee is definitely Nicola Roberts. She helped create a law about under 18s using tanning beds; she is very shy; she won a singing reality tv show; there is a girls aloud song called don't speak French and she has red hair (girl on fire song).

rosegoldwatcher · 11/02/2020 00:45

Listened to two Youtube clips - Hedgehog - "I'd do anything for love," and Alfie Bow with Gary Barlow singing, "Don't Stop Me Now."

Now totally convinced the it is he!

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 11/02/2020 06:38

I think there are occasions when the show is trying to be 'tricksy' and introduces red herrings. From Queen Bee, we've heard 'These wings are made to fly' -> Little Mix and 'I don't speak French' -> Girls Aloud.

On balance, the clues seem to be more suggestive of Nicola Roberts but I do think that the programme makers are aware of who the 'near misses' are likely to be and make use of this!

itswinetime · 11/02/2020 10:58

I can see that but Nicola Roberts has also written for little mix so it's a genuine clue to 🤷🏻‍♀️

Barneythedinosaur · 13/02/2020 18:19

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Bluff or confirmation?

bruffin · 13/02/2020 18:36

Double bluff, he is on BBC as well on Saturday night

bruffin · 13/02/2020 18:40

It's the last episode of First and Last as well. It's his quiz show on BBC

ChicCroissant · 13/02/2020 18:41

Jason Manford taught the cricketer Michael Vaughan stand up for comic relief, I may have to change back to Jason Manford!
