We have been watching and loving it too. DD was ill in bed when we watched Ep1 so we ended up watching it twice and it was just as funny second time.

i really want to see it but only have Freeview. I love Hugh Laurie. And I love John Finnemore who I believe is either in it or writing for it or both.

It amused us that the actor playing Spike (ponytailed former astronaut) is Ethan Phillips who used to be Neelix in ST:Voyager.
