I am not going to get chance to watch much more of this so this was a bit of a quick one...

Jane I know, and he is really nice bloke. But nice gets you nowhere, plus the crowd were conflicted, because they must support Roger. There was a fair bit of booing going on Hmm.

Which reminds me, I was wondering how often have Fed or Djok come up against Dick in a slam? I know this will probably be Rafa's 3rd time, but have the other 2 ever played him? What would the allegiance of the commentators be if it was Roger on the other side of the net?

Oh if he was playing Roger his behaviour would be unacceptable I'm sure!

Fizzywinegum · 25/01/2020 11:24

He is Jane and I agree he is very biased Raahh - he doesn’t like Rafa for some reason.

I never liked him when he commentated at Wimbledon years ago - I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say anything interesting

Could be heading for a tiebreak

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:25

Fizzy he is a Roger fan, hence he doesn't like Rafa, and Rafa's records are nothing, because- Borg.

He gets on my every last nerve Grin.

Bring back AC Grin (only joking!)

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:27

Fizzy actually, I would put up with butterfly/ picnic and beard chat right now, in exchange for thisGrin.

(maybe)

We don't even know what people are eating Grin

Fizzywinegum · 25/01/2020 11:29

Rubbish commentary Grin

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:29

I know- I really need to know what people are eating.

It's a vital service.

If Kyrgios hit a ball girl by accident, do you think he would kiss her?

Would she be pleased?

OP posts:
BGD2012 · 25/01/2020 11:31

Kyrgios has certainly never played Djok in a slam (and I'm pretty sure not Federer too), but has beat Djok both times they played. It was when Djok was injured/distracted though.

JaneJeffer · 25/01/2020 11:31

That's the stuff of nightmares Raahh

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:32

Actually he has a lot of fans with the ball kids, so they would probably faint on the spot.

OP posts:
Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:33

BGD if only Djok was injured /distracted still.

And to think I even felt a bit sorry for him.
Hmm

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 25/01/2020 11:33

Ah yes the mysterious Novak period BGD. Someone should ask Boris about it Grin

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:34
Grin

AC tries. Oh boy, does he try. Grin

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 25/01/2020 11:37

Unfortunately Boris is uncharacteristically discrete on the subject - much to ACs annoyance Grin

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:37

Well, looks like Medvedev is through.

Fizzywinegum · 25/01/2020 11:40

Come on Karen - I have faith!

JaneJeffer · 25/01/2020 11:41

Yes!

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:41

Come on Karen!

I bet Frew wasn't expecting this- he was already back at home over an hour agoHmm.

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 25/01/2020 11:45

His brain can’t compute it Raahh - he has grudgingly given Khachanov some credit for winning that set Hmm

BGD2012 · 25/01/2020 11:52

Yes Djoks distracted period was odd but it helped Fed pick up his last few GS.

Raahh · 25/01/2020 11:54

The crowd are annoying me too- there must be some fans supporting Karen in there? Hmm.
