It’s on iplayer and as I’m breastfeeding DS throughout the night I figured I would go back and watch from the beginning... then ashes to ashes too.

Just watched Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes again. I had forgotten how absolutely brilliant this is. One of the best TV series ever and what an ending.....

The ending...gulp. I knew what was coming but still 😢. So powerful.

I rewatched Ashes to Ashes last year & sobbed my heart out at the end. Think I might be ready to rewatch Life on Mars now 😆

I missed Life on Mars the first time round but I loved Ashes to Ashes. Count me in!

We’ve got quite the little rewatch gang now.
I have to say, I don’t get how people fancy John Simm. He’s great in Life on Mars but it’s Gene Hunt all the way for me. Not Phillip glenister though 😂

Both series are so clever and the dialogue is fantastic.

I agree that it's Gene Hunt and not Philip Glenister that I fancy. It's like in Torchwood: Capt Jack Harkness makes me go all unnecessary but John Barrowman as himself? No!

Rewatching here! Just done series 1 of LoM - I’d forgotten just how bloody clever it was and how brilliant everyone was in it. I also love how they managed to get that perfect washed out 70s tone to the camera work.

Can I play? I love LOM, Gene is a god! I preferred this to Ashes although that was good too.

Count me in too. Have just finished episode 3 and love it. I watched it first time round but have forgotten it all.

I've just started watching this with my teen dd, I loved it the first time round which is when teen dd was born 😬

I remember being totally confused the whole time as to what's going on though!! Completely missed the he's from 'Hyde (hide) ref the first time round.

It's cleverly done, even dd remarked how good the acting is.

We rewatched this recently and LOVED it.

We watched Ashes to Ashes again last year, I miss Gene. Will watch LOM once we've finished bingeing The Stranger on Netflix.
