New thread.

OP posts:
Raahh · 15/01/2020 13:57

If they can fit in a pregnant teenager with no appointment, they can fit in a man 45 minutes late.

Raahh · 15/01/2020 13:57

You have to take ID- they don't just let anyone turn up at prisons Grin.

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 13:58

Raahh, yes they bend facts alot, most people won't know much about visiting orders. My DH is a retired police officer so he has seen people in prison but I think he just had to use his warrant card. Mind you he's been retired a long time so it has probably changed anyway.

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/01/2020 13:59

🐻 Grin

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 13:59

Raahh they wouldn't fit you in for either at my surgery.

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:00

1 it could be different for prisoners on remand though- I think Dh only every visted prisoners who had been convicted, which might be different.

It's quite interesting really - I must remember to check when he comes homeGrin.

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/01/2020 14:01

I don't think they have a drop in surgery at my doctors, but if you ring at 8am you can get a same day appointment

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 14:01

Things we've never thought of. Every day's a school day.

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:02

1 looking at this lot at the moment, I'm beginning to think no-one is working at the Mill at all Grin.

It's nice of Clive to apologise.

Junior receptionist

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:03

I have totally lost the thread of the POTD Grin

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 14:03

We used to be able to get an appointment at 8 am but they stopped it. Now we have to tell the receptionist what the problem is, then you wait to see if a doctor calls you back and you might get a telephone consultation or they ask you to come in. The annoying bit is waiting for a phone call and they decide not to call you.

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:03

Are there no other patients.

Stupid question of the thread.

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 14:04

Bear and Karen don't get on do they.

LIZS · 15/01/2020 14:04

Why do they have such a large waiting room? Confused

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/01/2020 14:06

Lizs I think it's so the patients have room to lie down and go to sleep

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:06

We used to be able to get same day appointments, if we rang at 8.30. Now we have to make appointments online- and can't get one for weeks. You can ring and beg for an emergency appointment, if it is an emergency.

But you can't make online appointments for under 16's so you still have to call anyway- and can't get appointments for weeks.

Hmm
Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:07

1 she thinks he doesn't like Jimmi.

Which is kind of true.

And they have got a massive building for the 3 patients a week they see.

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:08

What was his appointment actually for?

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 14:09

That sounds complicated Raahh. We can't get an appointment unless the doctor says so. I just don't go anymore. The hassle makes me feel worse. Maybe that's the plan.

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:09

And...should patients be allowed to wander about the surgery? Grin

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/01/2020 14:09

Raah he was going to ask how to cure his virginity ?

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:10

I'm sure they have lights, Karen.

And he has a cell mate.

1forsorrow · 15/01/2020 14:11

Did Bear resolve his issues with Jimmi, I think I missed a bit. I know his old girlfriend wasn't backing him up with his grudge.

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/01/2020 14:11

Why is Karen behaving like a teenager ?

Raahh · 15/01/2020 14:11

Cure his virginity?

Well, if he's not figured that out by now...
