Ricky Gervais 77th Golden Globes Opening Monologue

I've finally found a full clip of Ricky Gervais' opening monologue for this year's Golden Globes.

I'm swinging between extremely offended and extremely hilarious. I love that he doesn't give a shit but if he spent less time producing gags aimed at total shock & horror he would have produced much much better jokes.

Has anybody else watched it?
What did you think?
I think I'm going to try and find his last TV gig to watch "Afterlife".

I loved it, he is spot on with everything he says! I think if you're easily offended then he's not the comedian for you. Tom Hanks face was priceless!

Definitely recommend Afterlife it's brilliant and also quite touching alongside as being funny!

Yep he was spot on!
I loved all his gigs hosting the Globes - previous years were marginally funnier than this year, I thought, but still, always the best thing about the award show.

Afterlife is a work of genius and I'm looking forward to the sequel Smile

I loved that the a Guardian slated it. Ricky Gervais is hilarious. There's only one gag he regrets and that seemed to be because the joke needed to be more cutting!

Haha yes that Guardian article was roundly ridiculed below the line in the public comments Grin

I thought it was really funny.
