Anyone else going to watch this? It looks fabulously weird but I've watched some clips of the one in the states. They have had some quite high calibre singers / stars so I have high hopes

I wondered whether Fox was Shirley from Strictly, as she moved well.

Alan Johnson looked like he was enjoying himself at least! There is no way DD will stop watching so I'm stuck with it, and MNetters are betting at guessing the contestants than me so I'm hoping some of you stick around

Daisy has to be Kelis - she has a very distinctive voice. Plus she fits the clues:

American who's coming to the UK to tour this year
Name from seeds: 'Kelis' is a portmanteau of her parents names
Flower references: she has a large flower tattoo
Fishing reference: she's a chef, and has a song called Friday Fish Fry

I think most of these clues are meant to lead us to down the garden path a bit the whole value of the show is that we want to know who they are.

I don’t, as a pretty fast rule, watch much TV. Definitely not anything that has the word “celebrity” in the synopsis and I can’t deal with adverts.

My mum however LOVES super shite TV and I happened to be round there earlier today while she was watching the repeat of last night (she had missed the beginning).

Someone on Twitter suggested Courtney act for queen bee but I didn't think that fit. They probably fit octopus a bit better (into fashion and weightlifting) but I don't know if Courtney's voice is that good.

I did wonder that but I thought there was a crowd when they sang the song again at the end that could all be in the edit though I suppose.

Just watching the beginning as I missed it, The monster, the things on its head look like Grammys, which CeeLo Green has won before.. I'm sure he sounds better live, but maybe he's putting a bit of a different spin on his usual singing voice. I can see him doing this show, as his career seems to have taken a bit of a dive after that court case / rape tweets..
