I'm with you, SoupDragon , about Ben and Callum. For their relationship to succeed, Ben needs to give up dodgy dealings entirely, not just try to be a better person. That's a huge change for him, and if he doesn't manage it he'll be keeping things from Callum and the relationship will be on rocky ground (again).

I, too, find Lexi annoying, but Lola is wonderful - she has such a sensible approach to life and is very kind to others.

Lexi is the ultimate spoilt princess but not really from her mum ; Lola let her go in the pageant but she told her off for being jealous of Janet winning it and keeps her feet on the ground a bit. Ben will treat her as Phil treats Louise. Can do no wrong. Could be a problem brewing there now Ben has stayed on.
like Lola as she tries to help people and is like Jay quite a wise one for someone so young.
What's with the soppy music now though? Only time we had that was for deaths or very special endings but now they use odd music for anything and strange camera angles.

As much as Phil is dangerous and horrible I hope he comes back one day as he deserves a bit of a better send off than that.

Dotty has a point though. Sonia stole the money and Dot killed her father... it's not entirely surprising that she's going after the money. I'm not sure if this was her intention all along or not.

If Dot doesn't or hasn't written a will out it'll go to her biological family

But I thought they showed Phil the phone footage after they arrested him and brought him in for questioning? (I only watched half of that episode so may have missed something).

I don’t get this ending at all, how can Phil and Co just flee the country? Surely the police would be watching the local gangsters suspected of murder? None of it rings true at all and also if they are staying in Mel’s villa the police can just go and arrest them, they won’t be hard to find, it’s all pretty ludicrous.

I don't think the phone footage implicated Martin at all.

It's just too confusing and nonsensical. If they do have they phone they will be able to link the handset itself back to Martin eventually even if it's a burner (e.g. fingerprints on the phone, his prints will be on police file as he's been in prison for killing Jamie).

If they have the phone they will also know when the killing took place by looking at the time the video was shot. Phil has an alibi for that time as he was on the square & in the Vic all day Xmas. Surely a hardened criminal like him would know they can't pin this on him, especially with his super lawyer Ritchie, and so no need for him leave the country. Yes I know this isn't real

A boat would have lifebelts and safety procedures in place as well as a drill ( I would imagine!)

I think it's been done as there have been several new camera angles recently. Different angles and "wider" if that makes sense.
