I’m watching on catch up. First impressions.

Sophie: absolutely stunning girl. Really pretty.

I haven’t finished so haven’t met the twins yet but (and I’m going to get caned by the sisterhood here) I didn’t think they were particularly attractive when I saw them pre the show.

Not sure about tonight's episode and not a fan of Laura Whitmore, but hoping it'll get good when I get used to the characters!

All seem a bit samey but I’ll probably change my mind by tomorrow

Only started watching last year but they all seem so young (possibly except Mike)!!

I quite liked the variety of ages (within the parameters) and occupations last year. Made it an interesting mix of people. The lads don't seem as pally as the group last year.

And what the hell was Connor thinking telling them all that? I would be massively put off after just meeting someone (due to the timing and inappropriateness, not that they did it) so he had no right to be acting defensive.

Does anyone else get the impression they fostered a more friendly, communal atmosphere in summer after all the issues but now it seems kind of more hard faced all round? I'm talking about the shit stirring and then talking about sex as part of a game so soon. Perhaps it's due to the contestants' maturity.

I think Leanne will be an interesting one to watch and possibly the Manc scaffolder but have a feeling this series might not be as pleasant watching as the summer.

Out of thousands who applied for LI they've decided this lot are the most attractive/entertaining? I'm really struggling to see it.

Connor could eat an apple through a letterbox and the twins look like they've been hit in the face with a cast iron frying pan. And before anyone starts, the show is about sexy singletons coupling up, there's not a thing sexy about those three and commenting on their looks is a given for a show like this.

I'm getting a more BB vibe this series than LI.

I like Shaughna. She's switched on and funny, it belies how she looks, makes her interesting. No idea why she was intimidated by the twins.

Good start so far. Like Laura as a presenter.

Favourite man at the moment for me is between Nas and Mike. They both seem like genuine nice guys and both have a lot of charisma.

Favourite woman at the moment would be Leanne. She seems quite strong and comes across as knowing what she wants.

The twins are pretty average looking girls if you were to scrape away the make up and fake tan.

I saw pictures of them before all the work and they were actually really attractive - they had reddish hair then.

The twins are apparently both at UCL - they hide their intelligence well! (wondering why they are missing the start of term )
