Are there less obvious things in hidden in the schedules that were broadcast at odd times, or are on iplayer/4od etc, that you'd recommend? I've had the afternoon to myself, and also this evening, so am snacking and looking for decent but Christmassy things to watch.

I've just watched an old League of Gentlemen Christmas special, a Mark Kermode thing on Christmas films, the MR James thing with Peter Capaldi, and might re-watch Inside No 9 (12 Days of Christine, and the Krampus one) next.

What else is there that you'd recommend?

I don't know if it was over looked, but I really loved the Tiger Who Came To Tea adaptation, definitely worth a watch in my opinion if you didn't see it.

I'd also agree, you should rewatch Inside no.9, those are fantastic.

I rewatched the Christmas specials of Vicar of Dibley and Father Ted Xmas Smile

Enjoyed I am Patrick Swayze on Sky Arts last night

lexloofah · 27/12/2019 20:07

Sky Arts has loads of great actor and musician docs on, esp if you like Queen

Upstart Crow was stuck away on BBC2, which I felt was odd.

Hugh Grant life on screen on bbc2 was very good. Also not Christmassy but I loved zomboat! on ITV2.

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't have Sky, unfortunately, but I did watch the Hugh Grant thing, and the no9 Krampus.

I'm keeping the Tiger That Came To Tea until DS gets back from visiting the his father's family, and I'll give the Christmas Upstart Crow a bash tonight.

Worzel Gummidge was lovely.

Tiger🐯 Who Came to Tea was lovely. Never, ever, seen it before.

Also, I quite enjoyed Secret Kylie. Some actual laugh-out-load moments. Worth a watch! Grin

I'm just about to start Wisting if you like that type of thing? Nordic murder series but the FBI are involved so I am guessing it won't entirely be subtitled. YY to 12 Days of Christine, what an episode.

Oh, I want to watch the Mark Kermode thing on Christmas films. Good reminder.
