Anyone see this last night? I know it's very old fashioned but it reminds me so much of Christmasses as a child and it's genuinely funny. Eric Morecambe was a comedy genuis and Ernie underrated too.

Much funnier than Mrs Brown's Boys.

I know it's a personal thing, and classed as vintage tv, but I'd be happy if all that stopped being churned out at Christmas. Morcambe & wise , Tommy Cooper , and sit coms from 25+ years ago. At the end of the day it's cheap tv, if they show it every christmas and don't bother bringing new stuff out.
I enjoyed the New drama of Christmas Carol , and looking forward to Wurzel Gummage today.

Missed it, unfortunately, but "He'll never sell any ice cream going at that speed" still makes me laugh.

There's a great statue of M&W, in their "Bring Me Sunshine" pose, on the promenade at Morecambe. It's a must for visitors to pose with them for a photo and they always fall about laughing when they do it.

The statue in Morecambe is just of Eric.
