So Nate is here to stay (unfortunately)

Will Rhona and Graham make it to France.

Does Santa know how naughty Archie has been and will his mother ever cop on at how hurt he is.

How many Christmas dinners will be ruined with fighting this year.

I did find Rhona’s snotty whinge to Marlon laughable. She said he’ll still be involved in every single decision for Leo for the rest of his life- err yeah except you’ve literally just unilaterally decided he will be living in France with a psychopath! (I do like Graham but he’s a dangerous man) what an empty promise. As if marlon would have any say over anything once they go to France. “Hi marlon were choosing a GP for Leo- what do you think?” “Well I’m in England and have no information whatsoever with which to make this decision” “that’s fine- were just going to do with our own choice anyway as there isn’t much you can say if you disagree anyway” Ad Finitum Hmm

JaneJeffer · 25/01/2020 13:57

Yes that was ridiculous. I hope Marlon meets someone who is as nice as he is. I feel like they'll put him back with Rhona eventually though I wish they wouldn't. I mean she dumped him for Paddy FFS!

JaneJeffer · 25/01/2020 14:00

I loved the line about listening to voicemails for old times sake Grin

EverybodyLangClegTonight · 25/01/2020 14:13

Me too jane. Graham has a fantastically dry wit.

I did wonder who was playing the cassette tape. Not Graham. His lovely shiny Range Rover wouldn’t have a cassette deck. It must have been pierce in whatever car he was in. Where did he get the money for a car?

Corneliawildthing · 25/01/2020 15:14

I found the whole thing pretty rubbish, as are most of these overhyped week long specials. Why did Marlon go from being incandescent with rage when Graham had the kids in his car, to talking to Rhona about her departure and trying to snog her, then hours later he appears to have done nothing about it, then goes off in the dark to meet Graham in the woods. It doesn't make any sense. The whole week was taken up with scenarios of all these people who may be the killer, then showing them supposedly having some involvement in Graham's demise and then Pierce is meant to have done it all himself.

EverybodyLangClegTonight · 25/01/2020 15:40

Agree Cornelia- loads of it made no sense.

SunshineCake · 25/01/2020 16:45

I agree @EverybodyLangClegTonight she certainly hasn't acted like Marlon is as important to her as she claimed.

JaneJeffer · 25/01/2020 18:13

The production was great but the story was weak and if I never hear The Reaper again it'll be too soon.

Sparklingbrook · 25/01/2020 20:28

Perhaps we can have a few months without a death. Or a birth.

Jojoanna · 26/01/2020 06:31

The storylines have been weak for ages.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 26/01/2020 08:53

Perhaps we can have a few months without a death.

Can we make an exception for Wendy? Maybe she could take the last sticky bun in the cafe when Rhona was fancying a pastry and Pierce could launch a frenzied attack on her, screaming ‘No one deprives my Rhona of baked goods!’ And as Wendy’s life ebbs away, Rhona lies sobbing over the body, hysterically crying ‘But I’d have made do with a flapjack!!!!’

Sparklingbrook · 26/01/2020 09:09

Oh yes and obviously we will still want the Bus of Death first for the characters that are surplus to requirements, I forgot that bit. Grin

First aboard for me-

Aaron (assuming he's coming back to cry a bit more)
Andrea and Millie (bus stops at ENT for the former and acting school for the latter)
Jacob and his one facial expression.
Al because I don't see the point of him and he can also stop off at acting school too.
Nate-he's pointless now.
Arthur and Archie-I don't want to see that any more.
Jai-increasingly unbelievable OTT acting.
Kim Tate-because it's all a bit samey now.

The bus can bring Frank back as he didn't die in the fire after all, and Graham because him being killed was all a dream.
It can also bring a really nice love interest for Marlon because he deserves one.

There's my Sunday morning Emmerdale musings. Grin Brew

PinkDaydreams · 26/01/2020 11:16

Just finished watching Friday’s episode. Why was it so foggy in the woods then at the end when it showed graham dead (again) on the ground their was no fog at all.
It looks like Pierce ran into him in the car, but then I didn’t understand why Al was there in that exact spot with his torch. Maybe it was Al that ran him over?

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 26/01/2020 11:38

Oh yes and obviously we will still want the Bus of Death first for the characters that are surplus to requirements, I forgot that bit.

I will allow pierce to stay if he is driving the bus. But he must die in the crash.

JaneJeffer · 26/01/2020 12:19

I'd keep everyone and put the storyliners on the bus driven by Wendy.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 26/01/2020 12:41

Grin yep!

qazxc · 26/01/2020 12:44

Jai's bloody hand: he has either smacked someone else or accidentally injured it.
The car hitting Graham looked like Jamie's s am guessing he hit him with car. Graham went off staggering into the woods of doom.
Andrea covered in blood, probably ran over Jai's dog that escaped.
Marlon didn't do anything apart from being in woods of doom.
Al just found body and is claiming the cash (maybe Jamie told him about the accident).
Charity and Ryan, no idea, but probably to do with setting Graham up for something rather than causing bodily harm.

qazxc · 26/01/2020 12:47

And give it a few weeks and Pierce will have had the obligatory personality transplant.

PinkDaydreams · 26/01/2020 13:27

I hope Pierce doesn’t win back Rhona

JaneJeffer · 26/01/2020 13:32

I don't think they will do that. It's bad enough that we have to put up with stalky Wendy.

PinkDaydreams · 26/01/2020 14:18

Can we have a list of who we actually like and don’t want to be on the bus of doom Grin

Sparklingbrook · 26/01/2020 17:35

Cain and Moira
Charity and Vanessa
Paddy and Chastity
Belle
Possibly Liv but give her something to do.
Laurel if she's not being a drip
Bob
Marlon (with a new love interest)
Layla and David
Liam-I am warming to him since Bernice left.
Suppose Pollard is part of the wallpaper and reasonably inoffensive.
Samson and girlfriend with pointless baggage.

Harriet & Co-have no real opinion but it's all a bit boring.
Kerry & Amy-straight to prison.

SunshineCake · 26/01/2020 17:40

It is Sam with the fiancé. Samson is his son..

Sparklingbrook · 26/01/2020 17:45

Oh right, I am not great with the names of the Dingles in general, and especially the ones that never get a decent storyline. I don't really have any opinion about the children as long as they can act and they aren't hurting each other.

Smidge001 · 26/01/2020 18:31

Are we sure Graham is really dead? I think the only good thing that could come out of this storyline is if he actually survives and gets pierce put back in prison for ever.
Maybe if Graham has died then bouffant Joe can come back for the funeral. I still don't really understand why he hasn't come back again now that everyone knows he's alive.
Also on that point why didn't Adam come back too? Do the police still think he killed emma?
The writers seem to make everything up. What happened to jasmine? Surely she should be out of prison by now? If peirce is out after 2 years I'm sure she should be released by now.
The writers don't seem to want to make any story make any sense any more. They are so inconsistent.
We've had so many who dunnits, they need to come up with a new story. Carl. Emma. Joe. Graham. I'm sure there are more.

Jai was the stand out worst this week. His acting was dreadful. All he did was shout. And a really breathy shout too. It was like a shouty version of that song 'promise me.... you'll wait for me I need to know you feel the same way too I'll be home ill be home soon'
