I'm only half way through the episode. I think Jodie Whittaker brings a very, er, interesting energy to the episode.

The Rock and Kevin Hart seemingly had no idea what Doctor Who was, despite being there to promote the second film they'd done with Karen Gillan.
It wasn't a good mix of people and even Michael Palin seemed subdued.

It's my favourite programme but I've only managed about 20 minutes so far. I can normally tolerate Kevin Hart but I'm so sick of the white people comments. Imagine if a white person said, "I bet you were all black because of your behaviour". It's really unnecessary.

Yeah, I thought all of that White People stuff probably goes down well with an American audience, but it some how misses its target here.

In fact, I think all of the spider jokes would have been funnier if he’d replaced white with British.

(It kind of made out that the entire production team would be white, which is fairly unlikely for Dr Who.

Not much Chemistry between the guests at all.Jodie is usually very entertaining, and really good in her roles but seemed to have some sort of personality transplant! Not the finest GN show for sure

Maybe Jodie was nervous. I wasn’t sure if the ditziness was to cover it up or whether she is really like that. A disappointing show.

Nope. She was just as irritating last time.

She doesn’t need to do the Olivia Coleman “aw shucks I’m just lucky I guess” bit. She’s successful and I’m told fantastic as the Dr. She’s entitled to enjoy and celebrate her success.

I agree it was rubbish , and I said the same thing to dh about Kevin Hart and his spider comments, not funny at all. If a white comedian or person had said those things they would have been called racist
. Last week was also disappointing. When the mix of guests gel it’s great, when Lady Glenconnor was on a couple of weeks ago it was funny and enjoyable.
