What's going on in Hollyoaks?

I've just started watching really. There's a story line at the moment that I've just seen, where a boy is looking at a baby scan in the school? corridor on his phone. Then a girl comes up to him and asks "So do you choose me or the baby?"

What is she on about? Has he got someone pregnant?

As I say, new to the programme so no idea who these characters are

Haha, that's his girlfriend. She's pregnant. He wants to keep the baby but she wants to give it up for adoption. She's given him an ultimatum that if he wants the baby then they can't be together.
