Just catching this up on BBC. Tasnim is an amazing woman, understated in the first episode.

She is incredible for someone who has not had the best start in life. I watched it after reading the article on BBC news about the story.

Watching this now. It’s so sad that no one really queried a 14 year old with a 24 year old. What’s even sadder is that Tasmin found out about the article that was realised on Mother’s Day (Bad enough) and her mums picture I the paper. How horrible.

I’m so happy to see a mumsnet discussion about this programme. I’ve just finished watching the 3 episodes and I’m amazed at Tasmin’s maturity and ability to get her mums story heard. Shocking to hear how visible these relationships were yet not one professional involved with the teenage pregnancy to older men queried it. I hope society is more enlightened and many more girls will be saved from being groomed.

It was such a different time, but so recently too. Like the whole Rotherham scandal and Prince Andrew and Epstein. Nobody questioning why girls and young women would be around older and undesirable men. Just an assumption that they were no better than they ought to be

I am just watching this. She is such an incredibly sweet and brave girl. Impossible not to warm to her immediately.

I've just been watching this on iPlayer and I'm a bit confused about the incident where the grandad heard Lucy shouting rape. He said he kicked down the door and the boyfriend ran out and that the next door neighbour's boyfriend ran after him. I wasn't sure if he meant he was also in the bedroom with them, or that he'd come out of nextdoor because he'd heard Lucy shouting and was going to beat him up or something.
