With regard to the age of smears, it may have changed over the years- I had my first just after I turned 20, in 1991. I think it did change after that, I remember the furore after Jade Goody died (I'm not sure how old she was, but she was young), as I don't think she had been offered one as young.

I've just caught up too, although DS talked over half of it. I liked Jenny.

Daniel deserves all this. Maybe he has some parents/siblings to go to, then again they probably all hate him too.

I had my first smear at 16 ... I think the age should be lowered because girls are sexually active at a young age.

Daniel deserves everything comingto him.

Well, maybe if she hadn't been living with a man-child, egotistical ,hypocrite, she wouldn't have ended up sleeping with Sid.

It certainly took her months before she went on the date with Adam. Because she put her child first - unlike Daniel . Who would probably have slept with Bear, if he'd been the only option.

I notice they forgot to show l the lube clean up after the smears. And it isn't always quick - my last one too 10 minutes (not an exaggeration!) trying to find my cervix.

But yes, a good idea.

How was the holiday?

YES Bingle!! Clean up and hunting down weirdly positioned cervixes (cervi?! What's the plural?) takes time and is weird.

I've had internal scans, no problem but a bit embarrassing.
However, when I've had hysteroscopies and uterine biopsies, that was like being in labour (not the political party)

I've seldom had problems with cervical smears, apart from my very last one. The bloody nurse just hoiked it in without warming with warm water, the cold shock made me clench. At my last blood test appointment I was told my smear test is overdue. I've had my cervix removed (radical hysterectomy), talk about adding insult to injury.

Told the journey there was horrendous. Heavy rain, idiots driving with no lights on. It was scary !
On the way home we we're driving into the sun.
