Discovered that SATC boxset is on Now TV (for another week!) so have been working my way through this on my days off.

Loved this back in the day but I never realised how intensely irritating Carrie is. It's giving me irrational rage. She snaps at her friends when she doesn't like what they have to say, her treatment of Aidan whilst sleeping with Big, her smoking everywhere so inappropriately at every moment (seemed so normal first time around).

Anyone else or is it just me who needs to get a life?!

I'm with you. Loved it first time round but second time round her selfishness is breathtaking. She cheats on Aiden with Big and then expects Aiden to suck it up when Big turns up at the cabin. In the 2nd SATC movie, she took self centered to a new level. She was so dismissive and bored of Charlotte's problem, but the second she snogged Aiden they all had to drop everything and attend her pity party.

When I was younger I found Miranda boring but she's actually the best.

Completely agree. When she just expects Charlotte to give her money! Still love Samantha though

Oh yes! They are all going through personal shit but she gets a taxi for 7 blocks to give Charlotte grief about not offering to lend her 30 grand! She's so self absorbed.

Agree that Miranda is the best one, I always loved Charlotte though because I could totally relate to that “is my hair too shiny today” thing 😂

What I loved most is that the city is featured so prominently. I live in a city and love it, and it’s almost like another character in the show!

@supercee yes! especially since Carrie had spent all her money on expensive designer shoes.

DH bought me the box set a few years ago after I'd rented them all previously on Lovefilm. Yep, Carrie was a fricking nightmare and so darn selfish. It is still very watchable though.

I have to agree about Carrie. I find the older I get the more annoying and self centred she is.
