I apologised sincerely, I can't believe people are still going on about what was just a slip on my part. I'm srorry about it . I don't know what you mean about me running to someone, I haven't. Why would I and who would that be that I went running to? I merely posted.

Something else I did was go back in the thread to see exactly what I said because I honestly don't remember ( though I accept I did it), MN deleted it so the MN moderators are obviously on the side of those who don't want to know the results in advance of the show. Fair enough.

I look at the spoiler EVERY WEEK but i'm capable of understanding the concept that other people who aren't me want to watch the show and be surprised.

Spoiler People and Non Spoiler people are NOT in competition or on "sides" on this thread.

We are all governed by you know respect for each other.

You posted "I can't believe Catherine has gone, I'm going to miss Johannes so much etc" immediately after she was announced for dance off, before it had occurred.

It never occurred to me that anyone would mind, I know they very much mind on 'Digital Spy 'which I go to every week that 'Strictly' is on, to find out in advance who is out. There are warnings on the 'Spoiler' thread on DS not to post the results on any other thread and I don't think anyone has, the warning is so clear.

I didn't think this thread (or Mumsnet as a whole), was anything like Digital Spy. However I don't believe I committed a hanging offence, it was more an error of judgement for which I have apologised.

I don't deserve people being hateful; when I first read the 'pitchfork' comment(s), they seemed lighthearted and at that point I had no idea what I'd done. However then accusing me of 'running' and trying to curry favour with another poster in the hope they would protect me is quite ridiculous! I would never do that even in real life, always happy to stand alone.

Please all of you, get back to talking about the joys and the sadness of Strictly and forget about me.

Blue if you frequent Digital Spy then you know full well the backlash on there if anyone lets slip on anything other than the Spoiler thread. You had it relatively easy on here.

Yep - not only has BR destroyed the suspenseful joy of the results but has now gone running to teacher because she's been criticised for it.

I don't for a moment think that this was a "mistake".

Oh yes, it's totally ok to post it 10 sodding minutes before it was announced officially. No big deal. Except from the fact that there any many of us who get a lot of enjoyment from these threads and like discussing the build up to finding out. Only for a bloody-minded poster to come along and bam. "Whoopsie, I didn't know." Is a kick in the teeth! Yeh right Hmm

Anyway @Bluerussian - I meant running to mnhq and the pitchforks is pretty much light-hearted but come on, your apology was not sincere! Mnhq deleted your post as many people reported it.

Anyway...I'm looking forward to this Saturday's now. Please don't spoil it Wink

Can anyone explain why Motsi still insists on calling Kelvin Kevin? It's rude and why doesn't Oti just tell her fgs! Do they not speak to each other in between shows?

Also, has anyone else noticed how Karen and Chris stand apart when waiting for the results - they never have their arms around each other like literally every other couple have done in history Confused

I think Monkseal’s blog is the funniest this series so far.

Reading it made me nostalgic (again) and I lost a big chunk of last night to re-reading some of his old posts. I’m currently in the early days of the series ?8? blog (Kara Tointon’s year, anyway) and was proper snort-laughing at Chris’s descriptions of Aliona’s batshit crazy choreography for Matt Baker, Widdy doing whatever...that...was, “poor Wilnelia” and his captions to the “not taking criticism well” faces of Felicity Kendall, Michelle Williams and Tina O’Brien. Happy days, well worth a revisit if you have time to kill. And it really highlights how much Vicky Giggles’ budget has been cut since then!

I've found they usually go up mid afternoon on Tuesday, but i only spot it because I frantically google it every Tuesday for when it pops up in the results Halloween Grin

I think that she threw this grenade into the thread and then disappeared makes it obvious (to me at any rate) that it was a deliberate and rather mean act.

Had she genuinely not thought people would mind she would have remained on the thread, waiting for responses - this thread is a conversation, not just one where you stick your tuppence worth in and then wander off. If she'd even waited for one reply she'd have seen that she'd stepped across the line and apologised straight away, and reported her own post.

She didn't.

I know that this is very much a first world problem, but it destroyed my faith in humankind much of the enjoyment for many on the thread, and it wasn't necessary.

By the way - Numbers - Halloween Grin
